I'm almost 81; was born 1944 under FDR.

Lately I've been doing some mental arithmetic. If you count back from my birthdate the number of years I've been alive, Abraham Lincoln was president, it's June 1863 and the Battle of Gettysburg is about to begin.

Cool idea. For me, then, it is 1900, William McKinley is President, the Philippine-American war is going on, and the Wright Brothers are testing gliders in Kitty Hawk, and the Hershey bar is introduced.

My dad, who just passed away about a month ago, was born in the Calvin Coolidge administration.

JFK. I can remember for the longest time, folks would always remark they remember where they were or what they were doing when they learned of his assassination. Me, personally, pretty sure I was napping.

I was born during the Nixon administration. I briefly remember Carter as president but mostly remember Reagan.

I was born during Nixon's administration, too. I vaguely remember the gas lines and clearly remember the hostages. My first memory of a presidential election is my dad showing me on the TV coverage how Regan was beating the tar out of Jimmy.

I'm an Ike baby. First memory of a president came the day Kennedy was assassinated. I was in the second grade.

Reagan. I can remember Desert Shield/Storm, but the first president I can remember in detail was Clinton.

I was born in 1955, during Dwight D. Eisenhower's first term.

FDR, 1940. Vague memories of WW2 ending, Truman as President; uncles who served, telling bits and pieces...

Ike's. I don't have any memories of him from that time, but remember the day that Kennedy was killed.

Nixon.
My first political memories are of Watergate being brought up all the time, and Ford as president.
