My older and younger brother are considering. Can anyone "sponsor" them?

Dave, I don't recall having a sponsor when I became a life member. I just gave them the money. I didn't see a spot for a sponsor on the application on their website either. HTH.

Thank you! I remember at one time there was a "sponsor" that made the lifetime membership less expensive. I couldn't find it either. They'll have to fork up Smile

They run "special pricing" memberships often. Some times you need a "sponser". I became a life member with a sponser several years back. They just recently had a discounted life and above rate. I think it went back up 8/10.

It is a pretty significant savings so if they can wait until the deal pops back up I would recommend it. I think I paid around $300 for my life membership with my dad as a sponsor. That was 15 years ago or so though.

I called NRA membership and they said all Life memberships cost $600/each. There are no promotions available for new Life memberships at a lower rate at this time. The price is the same if they call in without the sponsorship of a Life member.

David, I don’t believe that they need a sponsor to become a Lifetime Member, but if they do, I would be willing to sponsor them.

My wife, son and I are all life members and did not need a sponsor. But, I know that we were all members before we went for the life membership.

David,

If they want, am fairly sure they can also take care of it monthly, a chunk at a time...

I did that coupled with a promo for $500.

+1

I did my Life and Benefactor level on the "deals" offered and would recommend waiting since there are 2 of you. With election season coming we may hear something soon. Often, someone will post notice of an offer.

Yep. The “easy pay life” option. I believe it’s $25/mo, or even $25/quarter! Just set up an automatic payment and forget about it. Same price.
