Caught in a loop |
I'm scheduled to have it on my right arm on September 18. Doc says it'll take roundabouts 45 minutes, and that he expects me to take it easy for 2 weeks (nothing heavier than a coffee cup), then activity "as tolerated" after the bandage and stitches/staples come out. I'm not expecting this to turn into a whole huge ordeal like my cubital tunnel ended up being (extra muscle around the nerve compressing it), but shit's gonna happen like it's gonna happen. I'm in the process of working with my employer to get that week off, to hang around the house and get the worst of the postop pain out of the way. My manager's of the persuasion of "whatever you need," it's HR where things get sorta sticky (shocker ). I've exhausted all of my other options (I'm in IT so I can't really "stop" the activity that hurts because it's typing as well as the crap I do for hobbies, and I'm not giving up EVERYTHING I've ever found fun, PT did help a LOT but didn't do enough for the pain, and steroid injections I've found largely too annoying for the level of relief it gave me). Anyone else similarly afflicted? What was your outcome? "In order to understand recursion, you must first learn the principle of recursion." | ||
