I think it was on this forum where I read for the first time something like "if the Arabs put down their guns there would be no more war in Palestine. If Israel put down there guns, there would be no more Israel".

There have also been articles noting that the surrounding Arab nations could easily absorb the Palestinians, but they refuse to do so because they don't want the Palestinians as part of their country.

And then there's the Six Day War, the ME Arab nations combined to attack Israel, it took six days for Israel to win.

Dear Palestinians, do you see a pattern here? The more you fight, the worse off you are.

I think Dennis Prager or someone like him said that.

Honest question. 'If' the Palestinians were somehow to completely vanquish the Israelis, does anyone really think that outcome would lead them to settle down to live peacefully with their neighbors and the rest of the world?

Something tells me that if there were no more Israelis left on the planet for the Palestinians to blame for their lot in life, they would simply turn their attention to one or more of the surrounding Muslim countries, and attack them. These people know nothing but savagery, and cannot function in any world approaching civility and peace. When you have a large feral dog in your neighborhood attacking other dogs and/or people, what generally is the solution to that problem? At some point the Palestinians are going to earn themselves the same fate as that feral dog.

The level of hatred the Palestinians have for the Israelis is really incomprehensible to most Americans. Case in point...way back in the late 80's I was working on a project with a colleague from another department (I was at UT Health Science Center at the time; my accounting days). I had never really met this gentleman, and he was a gentleman...VERY nice man from somewhere in the Middle East.

At the close of our first meeting, I told him it was going to be a pleasure working on this project with him and as we shook hands and parted, I said "shalom". He whipped around and his tone and facial expression TOTALLY changed as he wagged his index finger at me and said, "No...do not say that word to me. It is the word of my country's enemy". I just stood there wide-eyed and just said, "Okaaay? My apologies..." It was at that point that I understood, to a degree, the hatred Palestine has for Israel.

I got to my desk and just wondered that if someone said "Proshchay" to me in Russian or "Zaijian" in Chinese (goodbye), would I be offended. I'd have to say no...

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

I think the first person I heard say it was Benjamin Netanyahu. He may have been quoting someone else.

The Palestinians have willfully believed a lie. Now everything the experience and conclude is poisoned by that lie. They are angry because reality cannot square with what they want. When they act out, they are spanked. Given the poison, the believe their consequences are unjust. Some people cannot be convinced of truth. They must simply be defeated.

More of the article at the link. I would love to see the U.S. stop funding them.

How much aid does the US give Palestinians, and what’s it for?

Washington has been the largest international donor to the PA since the early 90's with over $5 billion in USAID funds alone -- and that's only half the story

Over 5 billion in USAID since 1994

Since 1994, Washington has provided the Palestinians with more than $5.2 billion through USAID. This money is used for developing and sustaining the Palestinian Authority, including support for debt relief (such as helping to pay the medical debts of Palestinians in Israeli or other foreign hospitals), sanitation, economic development in the public and private sectors, infrastructure development, education, governance, health and essential humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.

The USAID money is also a lifeline for dozens of NGOs that work in the Palestinian territories on the grassroots level to support conflict mitigation and instill values of non-violence and peace-seeking.

Separate from this USAID money, which in 2016 equaled $290 million, the US also gives a large sum every year to support law and order.

This support, for which almost $55 million was budgeted in 2016, includes training and supplying equipment to the PA security forces and the police force, firefighter training, rehabilitating courtrooms and training judges as well as lawyers.

Israel sometimes works together with Palestinian security forces in order to foil terror plots against Israeli or Palestinian citizens.

I saw snippets of the "news coverage" from the Gaza side. I think the groups of people carrying people on stretchers were staged. I saw an overhead shot and it looked like they started on cue from one spot with the ground camera leading. In the back were a couple of people just running with their hand on the shoulder of the people carrying the stretcher.

Moving the embassy was symbolic but an important symbol as Trump has been the only one to deliver on that intent. But these people want to make hay out of it.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Yeah, the fake victims thing has been something the palestinians have been doing for years; lots of practice, many performances.

Yeah, well, tough shit. Whether the anger is real or the mayhem is staged, the US Embassy is in Jerusalem and that's that. The Palestinians can die or fake injuries or cry their eyes out 24/7 or throw tantrums like 4 year olds. Doesn't matter. Won't change a thing, except there are now fewer Palestinians in the world than there were yesterday.

There is no need to even broach this question; if all of the Arab nations combined failed to do it TWICE, these ignorant savages could never pull it off under any circumstances. Ever.
