SW Florida Flooding
Worst it's been in my 4 years here. Streets are flooded - some with over 2 feet of water. And it's supposed to keep raining all day.

Guess you don't need a hurricane to screw things up.

Last year was worse than this year for Charlotte County. "Sheetflow" was a new term to me when I moved to SWFL. At least it isn't snow and ice. Bridges ice before roads, I proved that once on I-94 near Skokie. If 1" of rain equals 10" of snow and some parts of Texas could get 48" of rain.

Lots of flooding, lots of road closures.

We got lucky. It stopped raining mid morning and hasn't rained all day. It's supposed to start again later tonight, so we'll just wait and see. The roads by me are clear and things are not too bad. Could be a different story tomorrow.
