ultimately it was my decision and I wanted you to hear it from me. It's been a really, really challenging decision to make. This is the second time in my career that I'm doing this and I do not want to do this. The last time I did it I cried. This time I hope to be stronger.
To me, this was the bullshit part. No easy way to lay off 900 people, but don't be a narcissistic douchenozzle and make it about yourself.

To be honest, reading this douche-b - sorry, caring CEO's comments thus far - I would have thought his style would have been different.

Like you just turn up to work one morning and find that your access pass has been revoked overnight, and a billboard flashes up your name with the words - 'Go away - you no longer work here - Thank you. Your former Boss'.

This asshole isn't on e bit sorry. His ego thought it would be a Guiness book record. He is a cold piece of shit that cares only for himself and had no regard to the damage he'd do to these people weeks before Christmas.
Here's to your company going out of business in 2022!

They are too focused on their recreation, than being productive.

LOL! "Work from home" isn't your problem. Hiring the wrong people is your problem. Fix it.

Bingo, if you can’t trust your employees to do what you hired them for, you’ve hired the wrong employees.

Hiring and firing, the basis of the business model. Why do large entities do it just before Christmas? Is it the Scrooge effect? Do these carbon based life forms even have a moral thought pass between their audio input holes?

Agreed, a good leader never makes it about himself....especially during a a negative personnel action
