One of Elon Musk's trusted DOGE staffers has resigned from his position after his links to racist social media posts promoting eugenics were unearthed.

Marko Elez was one of two employees at the Department of Government Efficiency granted access to $5trillion in the Treasury payment systems following an 11th hour court hearing on Thursday.

But by Thursday afternoon, the 25-year-old trusted Musk ally had resigned after The Wall Street Journal probed his links to the since-deleted social media account.

According to the publication, the X account 'advocated repealing the Civil Rights Act and backed a 'eugenic immigration policy'.'

Other posts allegedly read 'You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity', and 'normalize Indian hate.'

Another allegedly read: 'Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool.'

The account also weighed in on the Israel-Palestine crisis, with a post that read: 'I would not mind at all if Gaza and Israel were both wiped off the face of the Earth.'

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said that Elez had resigned from his role.

Elez graduated with a computer science degree from Rutgers University and went on to work for Musk's SpaceX, Starlink, and X, with a focus predominately in AI.

It comes after a last-ditch court request to limit DOGE's access to Treasury's $5trillion system - the first hiccup for the nascent agency after weeks of ruthlessly purging federal institutions to eliminate waste and overspending.

Over the coming days and weeks, the court's decision on privacy concerns about DOGE's access to the data will be a monumental test of their power to infiltrate and wipe out government spending.

Lawyers with the Justice Department agreed to a motion that allows only two people associated with Musk 'read-only' access to the system - including tax returns and social security numbers - on the condition that they do not share what they find with colleagues.

Those two employees are Musk disciples Tom Krause and Elez.

Virginia Congressman Don Beyer described Elez' resignation as 'a scandal.'

'Elon Musk gave a self-described 'racist' and eugenicist access to a system that controls all financial payments from the U.S. Treasury,' he said.

'That system also contains the personal information including Social Security info of every American.

'This is why we have a process to vet civil servants, and why we hire and promote them based on merit, not their personal relationship to some rich guy.

'How dare Elon Musk bully and threaten good people who spent their careers serving the American people when he brings this level of gross incompetence to his work.'

He demanded everyone who was involved in hiring Elez be 'fired' and said DOGE 'should be deleted' in its entirety.

Musk has faced criticism for his decision to hire a hand-picked team of young, college aged men to help him purge federal agencies and eliminate waste.

This week, six men aged between 19 and 25 were publicly identified as DOGE employees.

At just 19, Edward Coristine is the youngest of the fresh-faced bunch taking on corporate America and longstanding government institutions.

According to WIRED, he's been dubbed an 'expert' in his field, and specifics about his role aren't yet clear.

Akash Bobba, 21, Ethan Shaotran, 22, and Luke Farritor, 23, along with Coristine, have reportedly been granted A-suite level clearance for their work, meaning they can work out of the agency's top floor with access to all physical spaces and IT systems.

Musk's DOGE has been rapidly growing in power and expanding its remit, most recently securing clearance to access to restricted parts of the General Services Administration buildings and IT systems.

The oldest of the bunch is 25-year-old Berkeley graduate Gavin Kliger, who while not identified as having top level clearance has already proven he wields significant power.

Finally, Gautier Cole Killian has been named for his role with DOGE, which is reportedly on a 'volunteer' basis at this stage.

After widespread criticism about the men's youth, Musk released a statement about the appointments.

'Time to confess: Media reports saying that DOGE has some of world's best software engineers are in fact true,' Musk wrote on X.

A review of staff at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has identified only 294 of the agency’s 14,000 employees as essential to administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance. The internal review, originating from within USAID, appears to have been initiated by President Donald J. Trump’s Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, who is also currently serving as the agency’s acting director.

The essential status determination comes as Sec. Rubio has begun transferring the few core programs within USAID intended to serve U.S. national interests into the State Department—a move that suggests the just 63-year-old aid agency may soon be abolished. Meanwhile, The National Pulse reported Wednesday that President Trump is expected to place most USAID staff on leave on Friday. It is likely that the 294 workers deemed essential will be the few staff directed to remain at their posts.

Over the last week, USAID has come under much scrutiny after Elon Musk and the Department of Government Effiecity (DOGE) detailed the agency’s expenditures. The agency’s spending data reveals that nearly 90 percent of Ukrainian media relies on the U.S. federal aid agency to continue operating. Additionally, on Thursday, it was uncovered that the George Soros-funded East-West Management Institute has received $260 million in taxpayer money disbursed by USAID.

In its current form, USAID has taken to operating as if it were not a government entity funded by U.S. taxpayers, according to Sec. Rubio. This assertion is backed up by the former director of the agency, Mark Moyar, who alleges that many of its staff actively seek to undermine Trump and refuse to report corruption to protect their jobs.

Boston University staff member made social media post saying DOGE employees are wanted 'dead or alive'

An employee of Boston University said that staff working for the Department of Government Efficiency are "wanted for treason, dead or alive."

Jared May, who was listed online as an assistant media technician at Boston University, posted to the social media site Bluesky, a graphic that included pictures of several young men who allegedly work for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The graphic includes the text, "WANTED FOR TREASON, DEAD OR ALIVE."

DOGE, headed by Elon Musk, founder and chief executive of SpaceX and Tesla Inc, seeks to streamline government efficiency and cut waste, a campaign promise that President Donald Trump ran on in the 2024 presidential election.

Along with the graphic, May wrote a caption that listed several names of the young men pictured.

In a statement to Boston.com, a university representative said, "We are aware of a post made by an employee on his personal social media account…. We do not comment on personnel matters. The views expressed do not reflect the values of Questrom School of Business."

May’s staff webpage at Boston University appears to have been removed.

Boston University did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In a response to an X post that included a screenshot of May’s Bluesky post calling for the deaths of DOGE staff, Musk responded, "Noted," and "He has committed a crime."

Fox News Digital reached out to DOGE on X for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.

DOGE has been under heavy fire from Democratic critics as it targets government spending.

"An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government," a post on Democratic New York Sen. Chuck Schumer's X account states, echoing remarks the lawmaker made during a press conference. "DOGE is not a real government agency. DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions. DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law. DOGE’s conduct cannot be allowed to stand. Congress must take action to restore the rule of law."

Musk described the effort to slash government waste and bureaucracy as a one-time opportunity.

"Hysterical reactions like this is how you know that @DOGE is doing work that really matters," he wrote in response to Schumer.

Senate Democrats Delay Kash Patel’s Nomination for FBI Director
The minority invoked a rule of the Senate Judiciary Committee to delay a vote on Patel’s nomination by one week, citing concerns with his record.

WASHINGTON—The Democratic Caucus of the Senate on Feb. 6 delayed the Senate Judiciary Committee from voting to advance to the Senate floor President Donald Trump’s nomination of Kash Patel to be the Director of the FBI.

Patel, a former prosecutor who served as the chief of staff to the acting secretary of defense during the first Trump administration, first gained prominence as a conservative commentator on national security issues. During his first day in office on Jan. 20, Trump nominated Patel to replace former FBI Director Christopher Wray, who resigned on Jan. 19 at Trump’s behest. Wray was previously appointed by Trump in 2017 for a 10-year term.
Patel’s past commentary has attracted criticism from Democrats, who said he may use the FBI for retribution against Trump’s political rivals.

In response, Patel has repeatedly said he has no intention of doing that.

“There will be no politicization at the FBI. There will be no retributive actions taken by any FBI should I be confirmed as the FBI director,” he said at the first formal hearing on his nomination on Jan. 30.

On Feb. 4, all 10 Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee published a letter to the chairman, Senate President Pro Tempore Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), requesting a delay in consideration of Patel’s nomination. The committee had been scheduled to vote on Feb. 6 to advance the nomination to the Senate floor for a final vote of consent, after which Patel could be sworn into office.


“Mr. Patel was wholly unwilling to answer questions posed by members of the Committee relating to his grand jury testimony and the circumstances that led him to assert his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination [during the proceedings],” the signatories wrote.

On Jan. 30, Patel sat for his nomination hearing by the committee and fielded questions from senators for more than five hours.

Rule 1, clause 3 of the Judiciary Committee permits a member of the committee to request a one-time delay on a nomination vote by one week. The action was criticized by Senate Republicans as bad faith by the Democrats.
“Republicans waived that rule 17 times in the last Congress [and the Democrats] should do so here,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), a member of the committee, wrote on social media platform X.
Grassley said at the committee’s hearing on Feb. 6, where Patel’s nomination would have received a vote, that “committee Democrats are establishing a double standard.”
“Republicans extended this courtesy ... even when very controversial nominees were on the agenda,” he said.

Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), who is the committee’s ranking Democrat member, said in response: “This is an extraordinary nomination.”

He also criticized Patel’s involvement in the promotion of musical performances by inmates incarcerated in relation to the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, known as the “J6 Prison Choir.”

The Democratic signatories, led by Durbin, alleged in the letter that Patel included “apparent falsehoods in his testimony, under oath, during his confirmation hearing” and that the nominee must offer clarifications.

The letter also demanded that Patel appear before the committee to address the recent dismissal of career officials by the Trump administration at the FBI, as well as Patel’s statements before a grand jury impaneled to indict Trump in 2023 on charges of mishandling classified documents, which were dismissed after his election.

The hold means that a vote on Patel’s nomination may be delayed until at least Feb. 13.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to sources in the nation's capital, Senate Democrats have managed to delay their confirmation vote on Kash Patel one week, to give the FBI more time to finish shredding all their documents.

"There's a lot to shred," said one anonymous source. "It's just standard procedure. "We're, um, just making sure the place is nice and, um, clean for FBI Director Patel. We're really excited to meet him. We don't have anything to hide or anything, we just need another week or so. No big deal."

The FBI assured the public they'll have things cleaned up in no time.

At publishing time, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell responded to the delay by asking who Kash Patel was and slipping into another coma.

A federal judge on Thursday extended the deadline for federal workers to accept the Trump administration’s sweeping buyout offer.

The court will weigh the merits of the bid to block the offer in a Monday hearing.

The move comes as the government had set a Thursday deadline for federal workers to determine whether they wanted to take the deal — something they could do by simply replying “resign.”

Workers will now have until Monday to accept the deal, giving more time to weigh the unusual offer.

The Senate, in one of the most contentious confirmations yet, confirmed Russell Vought to head the Office of Management and Budget, one of the few to have his previous job from Trump's first term. For those who don't know, the OMB is perhaps the most important office in the executive branch, it basically controls the entire president's budget and is the overseer of dollars earmarked for programs, agencies, etc. Vought is the last guy the Democrats wanted to see at the OMB.

This brings up something that's bothering me...
Trump has a great deal of opposition and it's not all on the left. I'm having a hard time grappling with Trump's opposition on the Right. Not the usual leftist suspects but people like Catherine Austin Fitts who seem rational but are so fearful of a CBDC that they call DOGE a coup, led by Musk to implement a totalitarian control model and the central bankers decided to back Trump because he could deliver the conservatives into the model.

It's alt-right, or fringe-right, and there are a lot of people who should be on our side but are inadvertently helping the left by buying into stuff like this:
