6gunsThe Trump Presidency : Year V
I saw that and know President Trump doesn't like it, but I don't fully agree. Yeah, it's not really flattering, but I do think the angle of looking up shows a lot of power and that's how I see it. They sunlight on the top of his head adds a spiritual aspect. Trying to see some good in it.

sjtillWe are less than nine months into Trump's second term.
Illegal immigration has been stopped. There's zero new arrivals.
2 million immigrants fewer in the country.
DOJ exposing Biden and even Obama crimes.
DOW (Department of War): recruitment, reenlistment over the top.
Seven wars ended and one on the way. (Some isolationist! He knows everybody personally!)
Tariffs are restructuring the global economy in our favor.
Iran's nuclear ambitions literally demolished.
Serious work being done to thwart China's global ambitions.
DEI is gone.
Federal government is fighting racist universities on admissions.
Trans surgery programs around the country are being dismantled.
There's much more, but just that list is indicative of the pace of change under Trump.
My anti-Trump friend says he sounds like a blowhard. I say: BLOW HARDER!

That must be a currently popular Lib theme. On of my Lib cousins said that too.
President Trump’s Gaza peace success has the Libs reeling. They struggle to find negatives.

I'm with you. It may be a bit naive, but I think it was likely a genuine effort. I also think we need to stop taking offense at every single thing (like them). Yes, I hate leftists as much, or more, than the next guy, but this ain't worth getting worked up over.

To me, it looks like the world is looking up at Trump. You know, like, he's above it all.

nhtagmemberThe best thing about this shutdown is that the longer it continues the more we realize just how much ‘government’ we don’t need.
I read this somewhere - don’t recall where - but I thought it was decent observation.

The irony of this is so damn funny. Trump creates the Department of War and then ends seven wars.

Returning the name to what it was originally has been something I've advocated for for well over 20 years. It was named the War Department specifically to remind everyone exactly what it was for. By obfuscating it with soft language everything thing became a "defensive" action.

wcb6092Another Judge Hijacks Oval Office, Halts Federal Firings During Shutdown
https://www.zerohedge.com/poli...ings-during-shutdownThe pattern is clear;
Trump does: anything
Democrats: sue
Democrat judge: sides with fellow Democrats suing
Supreme Court, six months later: 'What Trump did was fine'
And in today's case:
Trump: Fires federal employees during shutdown
Democrats: sue
Democrat judge: Blocks path
The judge: Clinton-appointed San Francisco district judge Susan Yvonne Illston
Federal judge Susan Illston on Wednesday blocked the Trump administration from firing workers during the government shutdown - ruling that she believes the evidence would ultimately show that the firings were illegal and in excess of authority.
Federal agencies began issuing layoff notices on Friday aimed at reducing the size of the federal government and pressure Democratic lawmakers while the government shutdown continues.
According to Illston, the administration has been acting without thinking things through.
"It's very much ready, fire, aim on most of these programs, and it has a human cost," she said, adding "It’s a human cost that cannot be tolerated."
In response to the layoffs, the American Federation of Government Employees and other federal labor unions filed suit, asking Illston for a temporary restraining order blocking the administration from issuing new layoff notices, calling the firings an abuse of power designed to punish workers and pressure Congress.
The administration has already taken the first steps toward dismissing approximately 4,000 workers.
Illston said she would detailer her ruling in writing later Wednesday.

nhtagmemberthe 'judge' and I use the term loosely needs to be arrested and prosecuted for unlawful interference in the operation of the executive branch
unless a specific existing law is broken, the 'judges' need to stay out of it
one thing is clear, we have far too many federal judges and they are rapidly outliving their usefulness

wcb6092The Supreme Court already ruled that federal judges could not mandate nationwide injunctions in another case.
SCOTUS Limits Federal Judges’ Ability to Block Executive Actions Nationwide
June 27, 2025
https://www.democracydocket.co...hip-executive-order/In a sweeping ruling, the Supreme Court limited the ability of federal judges to block executive actions throughout the country through nationwide injunctions, greatly affecting how parties seek judicial relief going forward.
The court’s 6-3 ruling Friday, with all six GOP-appointed justices in the majority, deals a significant blow to legal challenges against President Donald Trump’s extreme executive orders and other actions, many of which have been blocked or temporarily put on hold through nationwide injunctions.
The ruling “is an existential threat to the rule of law,” Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson noted in a dissent.
Not long after the ruling, Trump claimed that his administration was now free to move ahead in amassing power on a range of fronts.
Nationwide, or universal, injunctions prevent the government from enforcing a law, regulation, or policy across the entire U.S. — not just against the specific parties involved in the lawsuit, and not just in the districts where they’re issued.
In a majority opinion written by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, the court wrote that nationwide injunctions “likely exceed the equitable authority that Congress has given to federal courts.”
“The bottom line? The universal injunction was conspicuously nonexistent for most of our Nation’s history,” Barrett wrote.
Legal experts noted that the ruling will have a cascading effect on other legal challenges to Trump’s policies that have involved universal injunctions, such as his efforts to mass fire federal workers, cut diversity equity and inclusion programs and change federal research grants standards.
The court left open the possibility of nationwide relief in lawsuits brought by state governments.

I see it differently.
I think the feds are overpopulated by at least 50-60%. Union bosses can kiss my white Irish ass.
As taxpayers we don’t need half the crap that is overseen by the Dept of Redundancy Dept.
Where is the breaking point? It’s obviously about 37-some trillion dollars ago! This amount of debt cannot continue…and what cannot continue, won’t.
Which leaves
We the People well and truly fooked.

6guns https://www.newsmax.com/politi...dkt_nbr=010502wiwab7Trump Confirms 'Lengthy' Putin Call Underway
President Donald Trump announced he was speaking with Russia's Vladimir Putin in real time Thursday.
"I am speaking to President Putin now," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The conversation is ongoing, a lengthy one, and I will report the contents, as will President Putin, at its conclusion. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
A White House official earlier confirmed the call to Newsmax.
Trump had told White House reporters he was discussing sending Tomahawk cruise missiles to NATO and, therefore, Ukraine.
The conversation came one day before Trump was set to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House to discuss the potential transfer of Tomahawks.
Trump said last week he told Zelenskyy he might issue Putin an ultimatum: Either engage in serious peace talks or face Ukraine being armed with Tomahawks.
The back-to-back engagements highlight the administration's attempt to pressure Moscow while keeping diplomatic options open.
Asked by reporters at the White House last week whether he had decided on supplying Ukraine with Tomahawks, Trump did not rule it out, saying he had "sort of made a decision" on the matter.
"I think I want to find out what they're doing with them," he said. "Where are they sending them? I guess I'd have to ask that question."
"I would ask some questions. I'm not looking to escalate that war," he added.
Trump has noted there will be no more free weapons or aid deliveries to Ukraine, telling NATO it can buy the weapons and distribute them to Ukraine as he focuses on being the broker of peace between the long-warring neighbors.
