Nope.

Not even a little bit. Those who demanded we take the high road got us in the position we are in today.

Fuckin’ A right. Taking the high road and not stooping to their level didn’t work. It didn’t do anything. If they want to play nasty, we don’t win by not playing.

Yep, it set us back quite a bit by not just playing nice with assholes, but allowing them to dictate the rules of the game.

“Donald Trump began his promised mass purge of federal workers Friday, as more than 4,100 people were laid off as the government shutdown rolls on.

The president previewed the pink slips in a press conference in the Oval Office earlier Friday, blaming them [good work, Democrats!] and the shutdown on the Democrats.

'It'll be a lot and it'll be Democrat-oriented because we figure they started this thing. It'll be a lot of people, all because of the Democrats,' Trump said.

It's the biggest set of firings in government since Elon Musk's DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) purge early in Trump's second term.  …”

Well, we don’t want to stoop to their level. We want to crush them, eviserate them, then take the high road with a vibratory compactor, grinding them into a thin red paste coating the high road. Then, when they are completely and utterly destroyed maybe we can go back to the old rules. Maybe.

Why slosig, you are always so mild-mannered in your posts. I understand completely. Big Grin

We're not stooping to their level! We're not manufacturing false charges against anyone. We are still very much on the higher road.

I found what you said riveting.

This is exactly right! “The high road” was often used by Mitt Romney types to mean never fight because losing is preferable to winning if someone is hurt. False.

We cannot fear embracing an attitude of ruthlessly protecting our values. People who hate us and seek to twist our high trust society against us must be treated with vicious contempt. We aren’t planting evidence on people, but the guilty must not go free. And weak men must not set policy any longer.

Those who view the courts as a weapon to be wielded against political opponents will presume that when they are the defendants it is because the opponents are politically persecuting them.

Leftists don't recognize criminality based on the facts. Guilt or innocence depends on the progressive social worthiness of the person.

It’s because they have been emboldened by our taking of “the high road”. Take two neighbors. One flys a Ukrainian flag, has one of those “Hate has no home here” signs that has the liberal talking points, and a rainbow mailbox. The other neighbor has a Trump 2024 flag. Neighbor A rips down and throws away his neighbors Trump flag routinely. Neighbor B just hangs a new flag. Nothing is ever done to Neighbor A for stealing the flag. Neighbor B takes “the high road” because it’s not worth the insanity of trying to get the city to pursue action.

Neighbor A believes himself to be right because nothing ever happens because of his actions.

That’s how the lawlessness starts. And it escalates to violence because they are “right”.

The “Era of the Squishy Republican” (Romney, McCian, Bushes, etc) is over, dead and buried.

You can NEVER REASON with someone who wants you dead, either figuratively (acquiescing to their plans) or literally (no more opposing them).

It’s either US or them; and I want it to be US.

“They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way!” The best words of wisdom ever spoken, in fiction or real life.

The point of low road vs. high road is those who take the high road can get to their destination first, whereupon they can set up an L-shaped ambush for the low road assholes.

As the 20 point peace plan marches on with release of the hostages, it is a stark reminder of how many people died with the obstruction by democrats of the greatest peace maker in the history of man. Thank you Donald J Trump.

The standing ovations at the Knesset look like a state of the union speech. Remember when the dems and lefty media told us he wasn't respected on the world stage. They said he was laughed at.

I hope the slimy fucks who attacked him with lies feel particularly small today.
