President Trump just announced that he reversed cuts to New York state’s law enforcement, made by DHS Secretary Kristi Noem:

I am pleased to advise that I reversed the cuts made to Homeland Security and Counterterrorism for New York City and State. It was my Honor to do so. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT

The cuts amounted to $187 million and were for intelligence and counterterrorism operations.

According to the New York Times, Governor Kathy Hochul made a phone call directly to Trump over the funds:

The push, which included personal appeals from Gov. Kathy Hochul of New York, a Democrat, as well as several of the state’s Republican House members, has been underway since news of the cuts began trickling out over the weekend.

The cuts, which represented the largest federal defunding of police operations in New York in decades, were made by the Department of Homeland Security, without the approval of President Trump, White House officials said.

Mr. Trump was first told of the cuts by Ms. Hochul during a phone call on Sunday evening, according to three people with knowledge of the conversation.

I hope many of you had a chance to watch Karoline Leavitt’s White House Press Briefing this morning. The government shutdown produced a fun packed briefing, and Karoline was at her absolute best fielding question after question—brilliantly.

Hamas on Friday announced it agreed to release all Israeli hostages, dead or alive, as part of President Donald Trump's Gaza proposal, Reuters reported.

Leaders also indicated they were prepared to enter mediated negotiations to finalize the deal, according to the report.

The announcement came hours after Trump issued a public warning to the terrorist group, noting its leaders would be "hunted down, and killed" if the remaining Israeli hostages were not released by Sunday night.
