President Trump's Truth Social account published an overnight informational video highlighting the health benefits of cannabidiol (CBD), an active ingredient in cannabis derived from the hemp plant, for seniors.

The Wall Street Journal was the first to report that Trump was weighing rescheduling marijuana from a Schedule 1 drug to a Schedule 3 drug on Aug. 8.

News of the overnight video sent AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF (MSOS) soaring in premarket trading, up 21% on 1.5 million shares traded by 0745 ET.

You are exactly right, that is what Obama wanted. I'll give another actual example. At Cape Hatteras National Seashore there was a facility with some, but not always adequate parking. The government had a contract with an adjacent independent business to use their lot for overflow. When the shutdown occured, the government put up barricades and police tape to close down the entire lot. The owner protested, and by the time it got resolved the government shutdown was over. That is how serious Obama was about making citizens experience as much inconvenience as possible.

I used to be what you might call an enthusiast, so take my word for it that this is a user preference thing. There are a lot of strains that you wouldn't necessarily even be able to identify as weed. The stuff everyone complains about are generally strong indicas, typically Kush and Skunk variants (appropriately named). I never liked those. I'll just say it: they're really popular with ghetto blacks. A strong sativa, particularly a Haze or Northern Lights variant, you might not even notice. Think of it like the difference between liking chocolate chip cookies vs sugar cookies - they're both cookies, but they have a totally different flavor and smell.

It should probably get dropped from Schedule 1 to something like Schedule 3. That said, I don't care one way or the other anymore. Doesn't affect me in the least. Trump could do this and it would totally flip the Democrats and lefties on smoking weed, though, which would be absolutely fucking hilarious. They were taking Tylenol because he cited a Harvard study, so I can easily see them starting a marijuana temperance movement if Trump reschedules it because senior citizens could benefit from burning down a fat spliff. Seeing the political whiplash on this topic would have me laughing myself silly. Big Grin

Bunch of WWII veterans said 'screw this noise' and moved the barricades. These guys fought literal fascists - they were not gonna let some kenyan man-child keep them from THEIR memorial. . .

President Donald Trump has signed settlement papers that will require YouTube to pay $24.5 million to resolve a lawsuit after the company suspended the president’s account in January 2021 following the riot outside of the U.S. Capitol building.

The Washington Post reported that the Google-owned website was directed to put $22 million out of the settlement money towards helping to “construct the new White House ballroom,” while the remaining amount “will go to a handful of other plaintiffs who accused YouTube of censoring them.”

Per the outlet, “the settlement underscores how much social platforms have changed their approach to moderation under Trump’s second presidency”:

Breitbart News reported that at the time, YouTube said it would be suspending Trump’s account “in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence,” and that it had “removed new content” from his channel.

Breitbart News reported in January that Trump had reached a settlement agreement with Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta, under which Meta paid roughly $25 million. Out of the $25 million, $22 million was “earmarked for Trump’s presidential library fund,” while the remaining money went towards “covering legal fees and other costs” relating to the case.

The settlement between Trump and Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, came after Trump filed a lawsuit in 2021 after the company blacklisted his accounts “indefinitely,” following the events on January 6, 2021.

I am excited about the peace deal Stan

I'm slightly surprised by all who have signed on to the framework so far, but the fly in the ointment as it always has been is a terror group that seeks to exterminate Israel and I'm not sure they're ever going to change their minds

its a huge step but the actual target audience (Hamas and all their adherents) needs to give it up once and for all
