I don’t know what the Civil Air Patrol does, but three of their Cessna 172s were flying along the border with Mexico for much of the day. There we a couple of F-5s as well.

McConnell is serving out his last 2 years of his term, and won’t be running for reelection in 2026 due to his health.

It’ll be an open Republican Primary in May 2026, with Gov Andy Beshear looking at the Dem Primary slot for the setup in November 2026.

With a Dem LtGov currently in office until 2027, Dems would still maintain control of Gov Mansion.
