As others have speculated, it’s quite possible that it was just a mistake on someone’s part. We could speculate about many possibilities that led to the mistake but criminals make mistakes all the time.
And although many will consider it to be heresy to even entertain the thought, could it have been deliberate? Not everyone employed by all those agencies we love to hate agreed with what their bosses were doing, and I wonder how the bags were discovered now. I could be wrong of course, but it seems unlikely that the FBI director himself spent much time poking into all the nooks and crannies of the building and thought to ask, “What are those?” when he personally ran across them. Is it possible someone said, “Um …, boss, you might check the store room on the third floor”?

Agent's alleged attempt to smuggle wife on Trump’s Scotland trip being probed in latest Secret Service fiasco
President Donald Trump dished on the "strange story" stemming from reports that a Secret Service agent attempted to smuggle his wife onto a Secret Service cargo plane accompanying the president on his trip to Scotland, as the Secret Service kicks off an investigation into the incident.
Trump told reporters that he had just heard about the alleged incident, which he labeled a "weird deal" and said that the agency was handling the matter.
"I don't know, that's a strange one. I just heard that two minutes ago. I think Sean's taking care of it … Is that a serious story?" Trump told reporters on Air Force One Tuesday, appearing to reference Sean Curran, Secret Service director.
"I don’t want to get involved, it’s a strange story," Trump said.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital on whether Trump had been briefed on the matter or on the investigation.
Real Clear Politics first reported that a Secret Service agent attempted to smuggle his wife aboard a Secret Service cargo aircraft during Trump’s travels for his Scotland trip.
When asked about the report, the Secret Service told Fox News Digital a personnel investigation is underway.
"The U.S. Secret Service is conducting a personnel investigation after an employee attempted to invite his spouse - a member of the United States Air Force - aboard a mission support flight," a Secret Service spokesperson said in a Tuesday statement to Fox News Digital.
"The aircraft, operated by the U.S. Air Force, was being used by the Secret Service to transport personnel and equipment," the spokesperson said. "Prior to the overseas departure, the employee was advised by supervisors that such action was prohibited, and the spouse was subsequently prevented from taking the flight. No Secret Service protectees were aboard and there was no impact to our overseas protective operations."
The Secret Service has come under scrutiny following the aftermath of the July 2024 assassination attempt against Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In that incident, 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks fired eight bullets at Trump from a rooftop during a campaign rally. One bullet grazed Trump’s ear, and the gunman killed Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old firefighter, father and husband attending the rally.
Additionally, another man was apprehended and charged months later with attempting to assassinate Trump at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Both incidents are under investigation, and a bipartisan House task force that investigated the Pennsylvania attack determined the episode was "preventable," and that various mistakes were not an isolated incident.
Since these episodes, the Secret Service has implemented a host of changes to its agency to beef up its security practices.
Specific steps taken include expanding the use of drones for surveillance purposes, and overhauling its radio communications networks and their interoperability with Secret Service personnel, and state and local law enforcement officers.

downtownvTrump Hikes Tariffs on Canada to 35 Percent
U.S. President Donald Trump has followed through on his threat to raise tariffs on Canada from 25 percent to 35 percent starting on Aug. 1, with the White House saying the country has “failed” to stop the flow of fentanyl and other drugs into the United States through their shared border.
Products under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) continue to be exempt from the tariffs. The White House says products that are transshipped to evade the 35 percent tariff will be subject to a 40 percent rate. Canada is also subject to sectoral tariffs, including 50 percent levies on aluminum, steel, and copper.
“Canada has failed to cooperate in curbing the ongoing flood of fentanyl and other illicit drugs, and it has retaliated against the United States for the President’s actions to address this unusual and extraordinary threat to the United States,” the White House said in a statement on July 31.

6guns https://www.theepochtimes.com/...WPyrTmAwwm0yIWFhI%3DTrump Orders Nuclear Submarines Moved After Former Russian President’s Comments
The move was in response to ‘provocative statements’ made by a former Russian president, Trump says.
President Donald Trump on Friday announced that he ordered U.S. nuclear submarines to be moved following comments made by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump confirmed he has “ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that.”
The move was in response to “highly provocative statements” made by Medvedev, who is currently the deputy chief of Russia’s Security Council, in recent days, the president said.
“Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances,” he added.
His post on social media did not include other details about the move, including where the submarines could be located or whether they would be positioned closer to Russia.
The social media announcement came as Trump earlier this week had warned Medvedev after he criticized current U.S. foreign policy on social media.
“I don’t care what India does with Russia,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Thursday morning. “They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care. We have done very little business with India, their Tariffs are too high, among the highest in the World.”
Trump then added that the United States and Russia “do almost no business together” and said he wants Medvedev “to watch his words” because he is “entering very dangerous territory.”
The comment was made as he said he would impose a 25 percent tariff on India as a penalty for buying Russian weapons and gas, amid a push to negotiate the end of the more than three-year war between Russia and Ukraine. Meanwhile, he said he would shorten the timeline to impose more sanctions and other penalties on Russia from 50 days to 10 days, during a press gaggle in Scotland earlier this week.
Responding to Trump’s warning, Medvedev criticized Trump for making ultimatums to the Kremlin.
“Trump’s playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10. ... He should remember 2 things: 1. Russia isn’t Israel or even Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war,” Medvedev wrote on X. “Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country.”
And before that, the former Russian president described the warnings as “theatrical” and said that Russia “didn’t care” about the statement.
Trump’s decision to move the nuclear submarines also comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Moscow hoped for more peace talks with Ukraine but that the momentum of the war was in Russia’s favor.
“As for any disappointments on the part of anyone, all disappointments arise from inflated expectations. This is a well-known general rule,” he said. “But in order to approach the issue peacefully, it is necessary to conduct detailed conversations. And not in public, but this must be done calmly, in the quiet of the negotiation process.”
Ukraine, for months, has been urging an immediate cease-fire, but Russia says it wants a final and durable settlement, not a pause. Since the peace talks began in Istanbul in May, it has conducted some of its heaviest air strikes of the war, namely on the capital Kyiv.

Radical Biden Judge Blocks Trump Deportations, Says Policy Motivated by ‘Great Replacement’ Theory.
https://thenationalpulse.com/2...-replacement-theory/On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Trina L. Thompson ruled against the Trump administration’s decision to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 60,000 immigrants from Nepal, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The judge stated that the administration’s decision was influenced by discriminatory beliefs, including the notion that non-white immigrant groups could replace white Americans.
“The freedom to live fearlessly, the opportunity of liberty, and the American dream. That is all Plaintiffs seek. Instead, they are told to atone for their race, leave because of their names, and purify their blood,” Judge Thompson wrote in her order, arguing without evidence that the decision to end TPS for certain immigrants is motivated by a “discriminatory belief that certain immigrant populations will replace the white population.
”Judge Thompson, appointed by former President Joe Biden to the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, further pontificated: “Color is neither a poison nor a crime.
”TPS allows immigrants to live and work for a brief period in the United States if their home countries are deemed unsafe. However, the former Obama and Biden governments abused the TPS designation, extending the deportation protection far past its intended expiration and well after the crisis impacting the migrants’ nations of origin ended.
The Trump administration had already ended protections for immigrants from countries including Venezuela, Haiti, and Afghanistan. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem argued that conditions in Nepal, Honduras, and Nicaragua no longer warranted protections, but the court disagreed.
Judge Thompson argued that the administration failed to conduct an “objective review of the country conditions,” claiming political violence in Honduras and the aftermath of hurricanes in Nicaragua were grounds to extend the TPS designation. She also editorialized that, in her opinion, the decision seemed tied to broader campaign rhetoric rather than legitimate policy analysis.
The protections for the affected immigrants will remain in place as the case continues, with the next hearing scheduled for November 18.
