POTUS should issue an EO stating that all Treason Trials be televised. I will save up my PTO to stay home and watch.

I believe Treason is one of (if not the only?) crime defined in the Constitution and also pretty hard to bring someone up on charges for (military person aiding and abetting the enemy during wartime might be pretty easy to define))

In a post on X, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, a close ally of Putin who is the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said Trump was playing “a game of ultimatums” that could lead to a war involving the United States.

“Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with [Trump’s] own country,” Medvedev said.
<<snip>>

This has been an ongoing concern of mine ever since Trump started making demands of Russia. While it is apparent that Trump's tactics work with most other countries, Russia/Putin seem to follow a very different playbook. I only hope it is nothing more than a bluff and that Putin will actually begin doing what he says he will and start working towards actual peace. The last thing any of us (that would include the entire world, not just the USA) need is to have Russia and the USA lobbing nuclear warheads at each other!

“Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign likely 'ginned up' the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy and wanted the Obama FBI's help, according to bombshell new intelligence documents recently recovered from a 'burn bag' in a secret FBI room.

The Senate Judiciary Committee, under Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, released a 29-page classified file from former Special Counsel John Durham's 'Russiagate' investigation on Thursday called the 'Durham annex.' The annex was one of many files recently discovered by FBI officials that was due to be destroyed.

The heart of the explosive allegations in the document: That the Obama administration and the Clinton campaign were aware of - and potentially coordinated - a plan to falsely tie Donald Trump to Russia, a chief U.S. rival. …”

I actually believe the following is more likely than Hillary being the primary mover in the Russian collusion fiasco. It was all Obama.

Did Trump's victory hurt Obama's feelings?

"Back in 2016, I remember reading an analysis that President Obama's two terms had left the Democrats in bad shape. In other words, he started in 2009 with huge majorities and left town with the GOP in charge of the U.S. Senate and House. It was probably not what Obama planned, but it happened that way.

So the question is: What led Obama to allegedly organize a takedown of the Trump presidency? Was he hurt or was his ego crushed? I like this analysis from Martin Gurri:

quote:
He understood, as a realist, that he had been the cause of which Trump was the effect.

His vanity and self-image, I’m guessing, must have suffered a tremendous shock.

Trump was a fluke, a hoax, an impossibility. He had to be exposed as both a monstrous aberration and a depraved departure from his predecessor’s enlightened ways.

Obama wanted his mojo back.

With the collusion scandal, he got it. On the day he left office, he was more popular with the public than he ever had been, while Trump’s popularity plummeted.

Was the elaborate charade worth it? Maybe so -- only the former president is privy to his own internal states.

But on July 23, Gabbard referred his case to the Department of Justice for potential criminal investigation.

Thank you, Martin, for your explanation. I thought about this for years. In other words, Obama's feelings were hurt because 2016 was a repudiation of his presidency. He probably thought that he'd do a Reagan '88 or pass the White House to someone of his own party. Reagan did it and Obama couldn't. It had to be an ego crusher to say the least. After all, didn’t they tell us that he walked on water? Anyone remember the media and the 2008 campaign?

Over the next few months, we will hear a lot about Brennan, Clapper, and Comey. One of them, or all three, may be the ones who pay the price for the whole thing. Maybe they should. However, I hope that three men remember that they were on a mission to save Obama's legacy and not much more."

Whether it "hurt Obama' feelings" or not, what Obama saw was the Democratic Party snatch defeat from the jaws of victory vis-a-vis his eight year effort to utterly destroy The United States of America.

With four years of Hillary, he would have succeeded, but his handpicked swamp muffin wasn't up to the job of getting elected, losing to a political amateur. When that happened, anything to achieve his vision became reality. So Obamagate.

Then when President Trump was beginning to make headway to stop our national destruction, Obama, the DNC, and the MSM orchestrated the largest voter fraud in American history.

Finally, Obama's last best hope, DementoJoe and his secret cabal of Obamaites, came damned near to finishing us off. Had Biden's four years been Hillary, we'd be a second rate, bankrupt nation today.

Then, dear God, Trump runs again. And the leftists outright try to kill him. At least twice.

But he is elected.

And the shit the swamp and MSM pulled is now coming out.

Now, Obama, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, and Clinton all better hope that the Grand Jury is composed of liberals, because if there are conservatives on it... Big Grin

I really don't understand why these documents wouldn't have already been destroyed? Why would they wait? Especially after the November election?

I guess this is as good a place to drop this as any. NPR CEO, Katherine Maher, “Reverence for the truth a distraction for getting things done.”

Acknowledge Joe Rogan for bringing this insane woman/comment to my attention. BTW, apparently she has publicly made this statement on several occasions.

They were in a “burn bag”, meaning that they were intended to be destroyed. But through inadvertence they were forgotten.

Kash is likely looking for more such documents.

Folks, go read the DECLASSIFIED Annex to the Durham Report.

The Democrats were off their rockers thinking this would never get out even though it was a conspiracy of dozens of people.

Maybe they were doing stuff like this enough times without getting caught and thought this would be no different.
Who ever thought he'd get elected once much less twice, after they threw every dirty trick in the book at him.

They thought Hillary would win. If she had, none of this stuff would have seen the light of day, and the MSM would still be beating the Russia Collusion drum.

President Trump accuses President Obama of “treason” over Russiagate investigation | July 23, 2025

WASHINGTON — Two high-ranking employees of liberal billionaire George Soros’ Open Society Foundations held “confidential conversations” with the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign team in 2016 to push the narrative of collusion between Russia and GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, newly declassified intelligence files show.

The documents revealed that Leonard Benardo and Jeffrey Goldstein — Open Society’s regional director and senior policy adviser for Eurasia, respectively — held talks with then-DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz in early 2016 about smearing Trump as well as distracting from the “growing scandal” surround Clinton’s “possible corruption” as secretary of state.

In a January 2016 memo, the Soros operatives discussed with Wasserman Schultz the negative fallout from Clinton Foundation donors getting preferential access to Hillary and the “timely deletion of relevant data from mail servers.”
