We don’t want recess appointments if we can avoid them because (1) they’re for a limited time (until the start of the next congress, I think) before we have to do it again and (2) there is some legal question if pre-existing openings when a congress is recessed are eligible for recess appointments. Take the time now, make the Dems and any RINOs look like buffoons and get them confirmed now.
