WSJ is subscription based, for most SF you'd need to copy paste the article to read it.

Did see a Fox News post on X that basically said the same thing.

They really hate when their own "tricks" are used on them...

"King" County WA (where Seattle is located) had to be "renamed" in 2005 when it was determine that the originally namesake, VP William King was not suitable since "...William Rufus DeVane King was a slaveowner who earned income and maintained his lifestyle by oppressing and exploiting other human beings".

Now it has been renamed to "King" County, but for MLK instead and now everything is better and balance was restored to the universe after the longstanding wrong was righted Roll Eyes

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

Honestly, I didn't know if Elon's ego would allow him to apologize. He's definitely overexerted himself and the compensation with whatever drugs he is using, had him show his ass. I'd love for Trump to bring him back into the fold with an understanding something like that will not be tolerated again.

The DNC continually amazes me on who they pick to represent them.
And then I can't imagine how they in lock step follow their choices.

Thune to Senate: Skip Recess to Pass Budget Bill

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., told reporters Wednesday he will force senators to remain in Washington over the Fourth of July recess to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill.

Republican leadership in the Senate had been hoping to pass the bill before the recess begins June 27. Senators are set to be back home from June 28 through July 6, The Hill reported.

A multitude of issues reportedly remain before Republican senators agree on their version of the budget bill, that includes many priorities if the Trump administration.

There are disagreements over the extent of cuts to such things as clean-energy tax credits, changes to Medicaid, and concerns about the federal deficit.

"Everyone is just pulling this Gumby in lots of different directions," said Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, The Wall Street Journal reported. "We are not, I think, resolved as a conference as to what that bill looks like."

Murkowski is one of several senators who has not committed to voting for the bill, along with moderate Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine. Fiscal hawks like Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., have expressed opposition.

"Expectations were raised that something really good was happening from a fiscally conservative point of view," Paul told Punchbowl. "And then when that hasn't materialized, I think it's going to be a huge downer from our base."

With 53-47 Senate majority, Republicans can afford to lose only three votes, assuming all Democrats vote in opposition.

The first version of the bill must again pass the House, which approved the first version by one vote.

Now the media is complaining that the soldiers behind Trump at Fort Bragg were "selected" based on "loyalty" and "ideology" because of an email that apparently went out to them from the Army.

Yet they were silent when Biden raged, Mussolini-style with his fists up with that ominous red lighting and the Praetorian-Guard-like Marines standing there in Philly:

House Approves Bill to Codify $9.4 Billion in DOGE Cuts to Foreign Aid, Public Media

It now goes to the Senate, where it will likely pass along party lines.

The House passed a bill on June 12 to rescind $9.4 billion in federal spending.

Introduced by House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), it passed 214–212.

It now goes to the Senate, where it will likely pass along party lines. As in the House, only a majority will be needed to pass it because it is not subject to the 60-vote filibuster threshold.

The seven-page bill eliminates funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds PBS and NPR. It also undoes $15 million from the U.S. Institute for Peace and $22 million from the U.S. African Development Foundation.

Additionally, it scales back billions of dollars in economic assistance through the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The bill also codifies some of the cuts made by the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, which was led by Elon Musk. DOGE has saved taxpayers $180 billion, or more than $1,118 per taxpayer, according to its website.

The legislation was sent last week to Congress by the White House in accordance with the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974. Congress has 45 days to approve such requests.

The House Rules Committee advanced the bill to the floor on June 10, 8–4.
“President Trump and congressional Republicans campaigned on attacking wasteful spending,” said the committee’s chairwoman, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.). “So the new administration ... then found wasteful spending. President Trump then acted and recommended that these funds be permanently canceled. I cannot think of a more textbook scenario of the proper utilization of this process.”

Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), the panel’s ranking member, disagreed.

He said the bill does not eliminate “waste or fraud or abuse.”

It’s gutting essential services that people rely on, gutting programs that save lives,” he said.

He cited the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), which seeks to eliminate HIV and AIDS worldwide, as an example.

“This program alone has saved 26 million people from dying of HIV, and enabled more than 8 million babies to be born HIV-free,” said McGovern. “There are now tens of millions of people on lifesaving treatment with PEPFAR accounting for over 90 percent of preventative treatments around the world. Your bill pulls the rug from under this program and caps 20 years of virus progress.”

Ahead of the vote, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) criticized the package as “reckless” and predicted that every Republican would vote for it.

“It’s going to undermine America’s national security, hurt our ability to protect the American people in terms of their health, their safety and their well-being, including by going after a George W. Bush bipartisan initiative that has saved thousands, actually hundreds of thousands, actually millions of, lives across the world by combating the HIV and AIDS crisis,” he said, referring to PEPFAR.

Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-Fla.) told The Epoch Times that the PEPFAR matter is “not an issue.”

“Reports of it affecting that are not true,” he said.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) told The Epoch Times that the criticism over it possibly affecting PEPFAR is “saber-rattling.”

PASig, let them complain. I have no reason to believe that his audience was not hand picked. Isn’t that just normal for any political venue no matter what side you’re on? Nobody wants to be heckled from behind when they’re on camera.

What evidence do you have that Musk is using drugs? I hope that he isn’t.

It's well known that Musk is an active drug user, principally ketamine, mushrooms, ecstasy and marijuana. Cocaine and LSD are also on a lengthy list of drugs he's used in the past, lots of parties, concerts and drug-fueled events like Burning Man. Musk famously fired up a joint on the Joe Rogan podcast several years ago.
