Agreed. But I found it interesting that they were using the Signal secure messaging app. I use it myself. It’s actively maintained – I see frequent updates for it on my iPhone. Mostly for enhanced features.

Several militaries and governments use Signal. It is the best there is out there that is widely available as far as I know.

The R from Nebraska stating that he was sure that China and Russia were reading this is not believable to me. I believe the encryption is such that they may be able to read intercepts, but not for weeks or months while they try to crack those messages.

I am not a security or IT person, this is based on what I have read and seen from security people on YouTube.

I think I may have mentioned this some years back about a story my Mom told me years ago when she was still alive. My Dad got divorced in 1978 and remarried in 1979 but I still kept in contact with my mother who moved to Margate, NJ and worked in the casinos in Atlantic City, NJ just as they took off in the 1980s. She worked with all the flowers and plants and trees there, not sure what her job was officially but she worked at Trump Taj Mahal and Trump Plaza there.

She told me once when I was a teenager in HS so maybe late 1980's to 1990 or so that Donald Trump would come down the elevator in these casinos and he would purposefully seek out a janitor or a floor worker or a worker like my mom and go over to them and ask how they were doing and how they were being treated, then press a $100 bill into their hand before walking away.

Trump Signs Order Aimed at Preventing Illegal Immigrants From Voting

The order directs officials to enforce laws on voting and voter registration.

President Donald Trump, in an executive order on March 25, directed federal officials to take steps to make sure illegal immigrants and other noncitizens do not vote in federal elections.

The order also says the U.S. attorney general shall take action against states that count ballots received after Election Day, setting up legal showdowns.

“Election fraud. You’ve heard the term? This will end it, hopefully,” Trump said as he signed the order.

“Perhaps some people think I shouldn’t be complaining because we won in a landslide, but [we’ve] got to straighten out our election[s],” he added later.

The order says that the federal prohibition on foreigners voting in federal elections shall be enforced in part by the Election Assistance Commission, which will require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship in its mail voter registration form, with options for proving citizenship, including a U.S. passport.
The commission, which was established by Congress in 2002 and helps local officials administer elections, did not respond to a request for comment.

The order also directs Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the Social Security Agency to make sure state and local officials have access to systems to verify the citizenship status of people who are registered to vote or who register to vote, as well as social security data. It says that the Department of Homeland Security, with the Department of Government Efficiency, shall review the publicly available voter lists from each state and compare the records to federal immigration databases.

Within 90 days of the order, Noem was told to convey information to Attorney General Pam Bondi on all foreign nationals who have indicated on immigration forms that they have registered or voted in U.S. elections.

Bondi, according to the order, shall prioritize the enforcement of laws that prevent noncitizens from voting or registering to vote. Trump also ordered Bondi to prosecute people who illegally voted, including people who voted multiple times in the same election.

Election Law

Trump also said it was important to comply with federal law, which sets a uniform day for appointing presidential electors and electing people to Congress.
“The Attorney General shall take all necessary action to enforce [the law] against States that violate these provisions by including absentee or mail-in ballots received after Election Day in the final tabulation of votes for the appointment of Presidential electors and the election of members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives,” Trump wrote in the order.

The Election Assistance Commission was ordered to stop providing funds to states that don’t comply with the laws, including statutes on election dates.

Many of Trump’s orders have been challenged in court, with judges blocking a number of them.

The election order states that if any provision of the order is held to be invalid by the courts, the remainder of the order “shall not be affected.”

President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order that directed the Justice Department to declassify files concerning Crossfire Hurricane, which was an FBI investigation into allegations that Trump campaign members colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

The order comes after House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan asked the FBI to comply with his committee’s requests for the truth about the FBI’s investigation into and promotion of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax.

The president ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi to declassify the files proposed in an earlier memorandum, but to keep other data redacted.

"My decision to declassify the materials described above does not extend to materials that must be protected from disclosure pursuant to orders of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and does not require the disclosure of certain personally identifiable information or any other materials that must be protected from disclosure under applicable law," Trump wrote in the order.

The declassification order comes after an investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller “did not establish” any criminal Trump-Russia collusion.

"You probably won’t bother because you’re not going to like what you see," Trump told reporters at the White House on Tuesday. "But this was total weaponization, it’s a disgrace. It should have never happened in this country. But now you’ll be able to see for yourselves. All declassified."

My reading of it shows simple requirements for casting a ballot… and, as usual, the Left has gone batshit crazy about it!

In Florida, for an ID. Or Driver License, there is a list of document to prove you are a Florida resident: birth certificate, address verification such as utility bill, Social Security verification etc.

Similar to Dems objecting to ridding us of Government corruption and waste, it would seem that they want illegal non-citizens to vote.

Is there any other reason?
