The Trump Presidency : Year V
You make some good points reloader.

I am far more worried about CHY-NA, than I am Russia. I think Putin mostly wants the globalist commies to leave them alone. I do not think he will invade then EU after a peace treaty with Ukraine.

Yeah, I'm guessing Trump's plan to bring peace will involve meetings with Putin. The libtards are trying to set the stage for more 'Russian collusion' BS.

Did the Democrats nudge Ukraine's Zelensky to reject mineral deal with U.S? Here's what a report is saying:

The fallout from the tense Oval Office meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky just took another twist. A report by New York Post suggests that Democratic lawmakers may have played a role in Zelensky’s decision to reject a crucial mineral deal with the US and the outcome might not be what Ukraine needs right now.

Volodymyr Zelensky’s key meeting before the Oval Office drama
According to Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), Zelensky’s meeting earlier in the day with Democrats had a significant impact on his approach when he finally sat down with Trump at the White House, as per the report. Murphy shared on social media that during their discussion, Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine would not support a peace agreement with Russia if it didn’t include real security arrangements for Ukraine, reported New York.

Murphy’s office posted on social media platform X at 11:15 a.m. Friday, “Just finished a meeting with President Zelensky here in Washington. He confirmed that the Ukrainian people will not support a fake peace agreement where Putin gets everything he wants and there are no security arrangements for Ukraine,” quoted New York Post.

This meeting took place just hours before Zelensky was due to meet with Trump, and it seems that Democratic leaders in Washington were advising Zelensky to reject Trump’s proposed deal, according to New York Post's op-ed. The deal would have seen Ukraine and the US partner to mine Ukraine’s rich rare-earth mineral deposits, with the proceeds being used to help rebuild Ukraine, as per the report.

Impact of Democratic advice
The Oval Office meeting with Trump was meant to be a productive discussion about finalizing the deal, but quickly unravelled into a heated confrontation. Trump pushed back when Zelensky voiced concerns and, in the end, Trump ended the meeting abruptly, asking Zelensky to leave.

The outcome of the White House meeting was a disaster for Ukraine and a gift to Russian president Vladimir Putin, reported New York Post.

A missed opportunity?
According to the New York Post, the Democrats pushed Zelensky in the wrong direction. It seems that by taking the advice of anti-Trump Democrats, Zelensky turned down the deal, despite previously agreeing to it. Some critics argue that this may have been a major misstep for Ukraine, especially when the US had already been a key supporter in their fight against Russia, as per the report.

The New York Post's opinion piece reported that "Zelensky betrayed his countrymen and, for now at least, leaves them without the military and diplomatic protection that only America can provide."

The New York Post also added that "Zelensky is a fool for rejecting Trump’s plan and counting on Europe and feckless Democrats to help him get a better deal from Trump."
European and Democrats support
However, there certainly is no shortage of voices cheering Zelensky's stance, especially among certain Democratic leaders in Washington. European Union’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, even took to social media, declaring, “The free world needs a new leader. It’s up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge. We stand by Ukraine,” as quoted in the report. It’s a powerful statement, but some might argue that Europe’s "support" has yet to provide the concrete action Ukraine truly needs to push back against Putin’s forces.

In Washington, the chorus of praise continues for Zelensky’s approach. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and other Democrats have rallied behind Zelensky, with Schumer accusing Trump and Vice President JD Vance of doing “Putin’s dirty work.” Meanwhile, Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) didn’t hold back, calling Trump a “coward.” While, New York Governor Kathy Hochul made her position clear, stating, “Ukraine is our ally. Putin is not. It’s not complicated … This president may not stand with democracy, but we will,” quoted New York Post.

Mmmmkay, a bit of confusion here, probably because we have TOO MANY agencies. The NSA and USCYBERCOM are under DOD, and US CISA is under DHS. NSA and USCYBERCOM supposedly have different mission statements.

Seems to me like they're trying to perhaps create a tighter delineation of each agencies responsibilities.

Either way, I'm confused pretty easily when multiple agencies managed by different departments start coming out, in one article, that purports to be discussing a single topic...

It further proves that Zelenskyy is a mere puppet, a sitcom actor playing a president on a TV show, to becoming an actual president. He was the Democrat's pawn in the Oval Office meeting. And like all other Democrat actions, this too will turn to shit.

So lets list the current accomplishments of the short little "leader of the free world and savior of democracy":

1. Declared Martial Law and suspended elections.

2. Arrested and imprisoned opposition leaders.

3. Shut down, arrested, and imprisoned opposition news/media outlets.

4. Arrested and imprisoned religious leaders, Priests and Nuns, for having a opposition message.

4. Can't account for the where all the money has gone, see #6 for further.

5. Operating Conscription Press Gangs who are grabbing teenagers and men of almost any age off the street, forcing them into military service (wonder what the death rate is for the conscripted soldiers, probably very high percentage).

6. Wife goes on massive shopping sprees in Paris and other boutique locations.

Yep, I can see why the Dims love him, he is doing everything they tried to do for the last 8 years. Good thing he is Ukrainian, they can't try to run him in the 2028 USA Presidential Election.

Putin is bad but screaming about how evil and what an asshole he is not the way to get him to the negotiation table. Replacing Putin might not be a good idea either as I listed to a Podcast with a retired US Army Colonel who is an expert on Russia. Per the Colonel, the 10 oligarchs waiting to replace Putin are all much worse, and the one who survives the fight to replace Putin will be in the Stalin and Mao level of people killed.

Ukraine's best bet for security is business deals with the USA for rebuilding and mineral rights. US companies in Ukraine who will be using PMCs (Private Military Contractors) for security. Hell, some of the more moderate Russians might invest into that type of business, with the idea being if you have money sunk into the infrastructure, you aren't too keen on destroying it. Trump knows that US troops or bases in Ukraine or a NATO alliance is a massive no-go for Putin and Russians, so a "soft" alliance will provide some security for Ukraine going forward. Then if Russia decides to attack further, the current President at that time can decide is it worth it to defend. The US would not be tied to a "you will defend us" treaty, like the ones that led to WWI.

If Zelenskyy and Ukraine doesn't want to play ball with us, we are done and gone. Let Europe fund and defend him, and see how long that lasts.

I'd be willing to bet it was Doug MacGregor who is a fargin' clown. He's been wrong about everything Russia/Ukraine from the get-go. Yet, for some reason, some folks still take him seriously. Confused

I listen to it a while back. The Colonel is a female who spent time in DIA and CIA. I also believe she was on Mark Levins show about the same time of the podcast. Her family moved from Russia to US and became citizens, she joined the army.

Yet, the liberals are whining that we are abandoning Taiwan and playing into Xi's hand. Absuardity. Trump is fixing more than we could have believed possible.

That is tremendous. We need that for national security even more than we need it economically.

Longstanding defenders of US involvement in Ukraine, like Marc Thiessen, have come down hard against Zelensky’s fuck up of Trump’s peace deal.

The Europeans are now running around promising to defend Ukraine, but Macron says it will take 10 years to have Europe independent of the US in military strength. Personally, I don’t think the Euro-weenies will do squat. But in the meantime tens of thousands more will die on both sides.

Linda McMahon Confirmed As Secretary of Education

Linda McMahon has been officially confirmed, 51-45, as the United States Secretary of Education, marking a significant shift in the leadership of the nation's education system. As appointed by President Donald Trump, McMahon's confirmation comes after a contentious but ultimately successful confirmation process. As a former CEO and prominent business leader, she brings a wealth of experience from the private sector and a strong commitment to reforming education. Her appointment is seen as a step toward a more innovative approach to addressing the challenges facing schools, teachers, and students in the United States.

McMahon led Trump’s Small Business Administration during his first term. She was known for listening to small businesses and making the SBA a more effective agency. The president has promised to shut down the education department and said he wants McMahon “to put herself out of a job.” He has already signed sweeping executive orders to dismantle LGBTQ and diversity programs from the education department. During her February confirmation hearing, McMahon stated her goal is to make the Education Department “operate more efficiently.”

Many supporters of McMahon praised her as being "committed to righting the ship of American education" and "empowering parents, not politicians."

"The Department of Education was set up in 1980 — and since that time, we have spent almost a trillion dollars, and we have watched our performance scores continue to go down," McMahon said during her hearing. "It's not working."

She previously led efforts to promote reading and civic engagement through WWE and spent 16 years on the board of trustees for Sacred Heart University in her home state of Connecticut.
