Isn't that what was said when 15,000 workers were laid off from the Keystone Pipeline project?

Department Of Health And Human Services Updates Definitions Of Female, Male

https://www.zerohedge.com/poli...initions-female-male

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on Feb. 19 issued new guidance updating its official definitions of terms such as sex, female, and male as part of President Donald Trump’s efforts to restore “the concept of biological truth” in the federal government.

The guidance was released to the U.S. government, external partners, and the public to “expand on the clear sex-based definitions” outlined in a January executive order signed by Trump, called “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”

That order stated, in part, that the Trump administration “will defend women’s rights and protect freedom of conscience by using clear and accurate language and policies that recognize women are biologically female, and men are biologically male.”

The new HHS guidance reiterates the Trump administration’s stance that male and female are the only two sexes and that they cannot be changed.

Specifically, it defines the term “sex” as “a person’s immutable biological classification as either male or female.”

Female is defined as “a person of the sex characterized by a reproductive system with the biological function of producing eggs,” while male is defined as “a person of the sex characterized by a reproductive system with the biological function of producing sperm.”

A woman is “an adult human female.”

A man is “an adult human male,” the guidance states.

A mother is described as a female parent and a father is described as a male parent.

The HHS will use these definitions and promote policies acknowledging that “women are biologically female and men are biologically male,” according to the guidance.

“This administration is bringing back common sense and restoring biological truth to the federal government,” Kennedy said in a statement.

“The prior administration’s policy of trying to engineer gender ideology into every aspect of public life is over.”

Very interesting video with Sen. Markwayne Mullin talking about the senate confirmations, the other senator is Mike Lee. Seems Trump devised the strategy as far as putting Hegseth first instead of a more conventional approach for an easier first confirmation. And so far, it has worked perfectly.

There is sort of means testing for Medicare, not SS, in the form of higher premiums for Part B.
There's lots of info in the link below, but a typical couple filing jointly (like Mrs Sigmund and I) would pay a larger premium if our modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) is over $212K.

https://thefinancebuff.com/med...income-brackets.html

Yes... and a long term homeowner who sells for a profit in retirement can trigger IRMAA. e.g. You buy your home in 1995 for $300k and sell it in 2025 for $1.1M which is a profit of $800k. $300k of that is taxable, and blammo you are also paying through the nose for 2027 Medicare! That's on top of regular income taxes on the $300k profit in 2025, which probably also triggered high taxes on your Social Security!

Inflation (if we believe official rates) makes your initial price $625k today, so your real profit was $475k, which would not be taxable at all and wouldn't trigger IRMAA in 2027. (Plus you probably paid about $275k in mortgage interest on that home, so your real profit is only $200k on your investment before any taxes!). The point being that government finances cause the inflation which robbed you in this hidden way, too.

But... there actually is a lot of means testing or "success penalty" built into Social Security. First there is a lower return for higher lifetime earnings. They call it bending the curve. The next way they get you is that a higher earner is likely to have more 401k or IRA savings, which is taxable income in retirement. This then triggers income taxes on Social Security, which then adds to taxable income and pushes up the tax rate! The lower earner who takes less out of retirement accounts thus pays no tax on their SS and perhaps none on their 401k withdrawal.

Taxes in retirement are very progressive.

The White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller torched fake news reporters Thursday during a briefing for playing along with the charade for years that Joe Biden was mentally fit, before giving them a lecture about how government works.

“Many of the people in this room for four years failed to cover the fact that Joe Biden was mentally incompetent and was not running the country,” Miller told leftist media correspondents.

He then noted that to counter the ridiculous leftist talking point that Elon Musk is an unelected bureaucrat, the media was in need of “a brief civics lesson.”

Miller then began his short but ever so sweet fact smackdown.

“A president is elected by the whole American people. He is the only official in the entire government that is elected by the entire nation. Judges are appointed, members are Congress are elected at the district or state level,” he noted.

“The Constitution, Article II, has a clause known as ‘the vesting clause,’ and it says ‘the executive power shall be vested in ‘a’ president — singular. The whole will of democracy is imbued into the elected president. That president then appoints staff to impose that democratic will onto the government,” he continued.

“The threat to democracy — the existential threat to democracy — is the unelected bureaucracy of lifetime, tenured civil servants who believe they answer to no one; who believe they can do whatever they want without consequence; who believe they can set their own agenda, no matter what Americans vote for,” Miller explained.

“So, Americans vote for radical FBI reform, and FBI agents say they don’t want to change. Or Americans vote for radical reform on our energy policies, and EPA bureaucrats say that they don’t want to change. Or Americans vote to end racist DEI policies, and lawyers at the DOJ say they son’t want to change,” Miller further outlined.

“What President Trump is doing is he is removing federal bureaucrats who are defying democracy by failing to implement his lawful orders, which are the will of the whole American people,” Miller asserted.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Report: Trump to Take Control of USPS, Dismiss Postal Board

President Donald Trump is preparing to dissolve the leadership of the U.S. Postal Service and absorb the independent mail agency into his administration, The Washington Post reported on Thursday.

The newspaper, citing six people familiar with the plans, reported that Trump is expected to issue an executive order as soon as this week to fire the members of the Postal Service's governing board and place the agency under the control of the Commerce Department.

I'm really glad they are confronting the media with this. That was the 2nd biggest political scandal of the century (just behind the stolen 2020 election), and they need to call these media accomplices to account. A Republican could have NEVER survived a month, much less 4 years, of such blatant and obvious mental incapacity. It required the eager support of the media to pull it off.
