While it's pretty expensive 3M DP420 is some of the strongest and most versatile epoxies that you can buy. It bonds many different materials and it's especially good with "slippery" plastics with low surface energy that don't normally bond well such as Delrin. Years ago at work we tested may different epoxies and DP420 always came out on top for bond strength. Once it's set it will not come apart, it's likely the parts you are bonding will break first. fastcap 2p10 with activator just dont get it on you or you will never come apart  it dries in 2 seconds after you hit it with the activator its some wild stuff. I use it in my cabinet shop all the time. glue on one part, spray activator on the other and bam, too late. | |||

What would you use on cardboard? I have some boxes I want to put into storage. I got a shipment of powder and it was tough to get the secondary shipping box open. The glue was tougher than the cardboard! Any ideas? Thanks, V. | |||

I go with anything made by 3M and there application charts and use guidelines. | |||

I keep JB quick on hand. Most of the strength of JB weld with a much shorter curing time. It's stronger than anything I've ever needed epoxy for. All-around, probably 2-part epoxy as others have posted; however, (again as others have said) no glue is right for everything. I keep epoxy, Barge’s, Liquid Nails, and Tite Bond on hand.
