Michelle (Big Mike) Obama’s recent Instagram post offering encouragement as the New Year approaches has sparked mixed reactions from her followers.
In her message, the former First Lady acknowledged that “it’s been a difficult few months for so many” and noted that people are feeling “anxious and uncertain” about the future.
“Happy holidays, everyone!” Obama began her post. “I know it’s been a difficult few months for so many of us—and that folks are feeling a little bit anxious and uncertain. But even during these tough times, there are plenty of reasons to stay hopeful.”

The video accompanying the post featured clips of individuals from various walks of life, including a man wearing a Chicago Bears jacket and a woman with blue hair riding a subway.
Critics suggested these visuals symbolized segments of the population that may be particularly apprehensive about the recent election results, which saw Donald Trump win the presidency for a second term.
In her post, Obama highlighted the Obama Presidential Center, a $482 million project in Chicago, as a beacon of optimism. “On the South Side of Chicago, the Obama Presidential Center continues to rise as a symbol of hope and community,” she stated.
The project, described as a library and community center, has been a focal point of Obama’s messaging in recent years.

For some, irrelevance is a difficult thing to come to terms with.

So True! And with the humiliating defeat of Kamala, The Obamas have, in fact, become irrelevant!

Only $482 million for a monument to himself? With Chicago, year after year the gang murder capitol fueled by the illegal drug trade maybe the money would be better spend on another prison to protect society.

That's the crux.
When they and their advocates were 'in power', they not only encouraged big media and entertainment to push a narrative that 'radical change' had to be the new norm, they rammed it down everyone's throat by passing laws enforcing and persecuting those who didn't think like them.

Now, their wealthy advocates continue to spew their non-sense but attempting to 'make nice', meanwhile their minion foot soldiers are spinning themselves into a hole trying to come up with some 'creative' protest for the inauguration. What's going to be the new knit pussy-hat? What's the new #resistance? Kinda hard to be the 'resistance' when you have academia, big media and entertainment in your corner.

Difficult few months?

It's been a difficult past 4 years for law abiding Americans:

-crime
-sky high grocery prices
-gas up by 50%
-lowered standing on the world stage
-military gutted

I can't take her seriously. At the dems convention she said something like "Greedy people take more than they need."

This from someone who owns four mansions, the cheapest of which cost > $8 million.

... stirred anti-clockwise.

Would 482 million be a small facility for Chicago real estate ? If BLM burned it down would anyone notice it missing ?

I'm trying not to laugh too much.
They are not, in no way, shape, or form "Irrelevant"!
They are treacherous, scheming slime!

I'm warning you! Do NOT count them out!
They will be involved in the "Death by 1000 cuts" of President DJ Trump Pt2; they will do everyting in their power to try and hamstring this administration. Unless a whole lot, and I mean in the hundreds, go to jail!

They WILL be behind the curtain for the next presidential election. The will find a more "moderate" dem candidate, support, fund and back them. They- meaning barrak and michelle will be back, running things from behind the scenes.

Who do you think was running the show for the past 4 years? Please don't say Biden...
Droolin Joe just went down hill too fast. That fuckin' potato was nothing more than a figure head. Someone was pulling that puppet's strings.

Whatever you do, DON'T count them out!
Power is a horrible thing to loose. "The People" figured things out, and voted DJ Trump in for a second time, but in a way that couldn't be manipulated.
They'll figure out how to skew things just enough in their favor to re-gain power.

My oldest friend said the same to me after I commented about the 'end of Obama's deep state presidency'.

"Don't underestimate him. He's like Wo Fat. He'll always be lurking around".

He's right of course. I was caught up in the fantasy of Obozo in our rear view mirror. It was a pleasant fiction while it lasted.

For the younger members and those who don't know, Wo Fat was an evil character on the old Hawaii-Five-O show from the seventies. Not sure if they had that character on the 'reboot' show from a few years ago.

Hopefully they'll have a shotspotter with video in the budget for the Obama presidential Library, just to keep score.

Well the tell will be if the Obama’s move out of DC after Trump takes over. If they go then they’ve thrown in the towel on being the controlling force of the Democrat party.

I think they’ll go

The natives are a little more than just upset with the obama center and the cost, and what it's doing to the neighborhood.
Personally- Fuck 'em!
They get what the deserve. They thought that asshole was the second coming, just because of race. Meanwhile, all they got for their vote was a cheap ass free phone.

I can't wait to see the cost over-runs, mismanagement, pilferage, and outright theft when this project is done.
