Coming up on 3 years with the wife. Leather is the traditional, and I think she would appreciate something nice made of it.

Any interesting suggestions? Any leatherworkers on the forum that make thing outside the belts and holsters, that would make a good gift? I'd love to support a member if I can.

I'd recommend getting in touch with Mr. Hicks (sureshot45). I know he has made some bags and purses before.

(Related link. And another one.)

Oh, and congratulations!

God bless America.

My wife has a handmade leather "clutch" that she loves. Got it at a craft fair a few years ago. If your wife isn't one of those with a "Mary Poppins" style purse, where she lugs everything and the kitchen sink around everwhere in a ginormous purse that takes 20 minutes to sift through to find what she wants, then she might like one as well.

It's basically a small square leather pouch with a zipper on one side and a wrist strap. Hers is on the smaller side, just big enough to hold a DL, a few credit cards, some folded cash, some coupon cards, and a tube of chapstick. Some others are slightly larger, and can hold a cell phone, sunglasses, etc. as well.

Similar in concept to this, but hers is not Duluth Trading Company, is a bit smaller, and doesn't have any internal divider/organizer: https://www.duluthtrading.com/...zip-pouch-57420.html

Think of it as the female equivalent of a "minimalist wallet".

Andy Langlois (known for his Rhodesian and Scout rifle slings) also makes very nice bags and purses via his Irish Bag Company He's a gun guy so you are supporting our community by purchasing from him

He also does custom work in the um "marital aid" arena if you or anyone else might be interested. Smile

Should have seen that coming lol

I love the monogrammed iPad idea so much, I did it before we got married Big Grin Saddleback, nonetheless.

She’s got a good bag. She carries a small leather backpack.

I’ll poke around a bit more. I think I’d like something more personal or unique. But also functional.
