P250UA5Bottle Jack /Jack Stand Combo?
https://www.northerntool.com/p...model-620471-5710546Anyone have/used something like these?
I'm in the market for a new floor jack [my little Pittsburgh low-pro wont even get a wheel off the ground with my Explorer & wont even attempt with the Expedition] & was looking at the Badlands off road jack [should work better on my pea-gravel-ish driveway] and stumbled on these. At $60/per, I could do all 4 corners for less than the Badlands & could leave 1 in each car.

ugeestaNever seen that before but I like it. I have a bottle jack in my camping trailer but the base and tip are pretty small. This looks much more stable.
Looks like ship in only. No store pick up.

ChowserLet us know how they work.
I have been looking into Renn Stands but don’t want to pay.
Only issue I have with the bottle jack stands is none are low enough for my cars.

old rugged crossI like bottle neck jacks. Have several. Used a couple to jack up a sagging eave on a pole building I own. The building was about 40 years old and one side of the building was sagging probably about six inches in a span of about 15' or so. Used the jacks to raise it up and put new 6x6's. Worked out great. They did not have any jack stands. Napa handles jacks and I have one of theirs. Most I have bought at garage or estate sales.

rizzleThey weigh 22 pounds. On pea gravel they are going to sink in some, too much to wrestle with me on 4 corners. On concrete, probably slide just fine.

smlsigI have one and took it on our trip to Alaska with our truck camper. Never did have to use it but I’ve used it in the driveway with success.

tsmccullHad one of those I used successfully for several years to switch from regular to snow tires & back annually. The last time I needed it, it would no longer lift the car. The cheap Chinese bottle jack had failed. IMHO, the concept is good, but the reliability left something to be desired. That was a sample of one, but I never got another and just stuck with my 40-year old standard jack and standard jack stands that have never failed. YMMV.

I said pea gravel. It's concrete but with a pea gravel-ish texture, so most metal wheeled jacks don't work well on it.
Also, seems these bypass the issue of jacking the car with a floor jack, then needing to find another spot for a jack stand. Always hated that part of the process.

DentedI use these
https://safejacks.comI've got the General kit and a jack stand kit that I keep in the truck. Driveway use is fine. Iqt's when I'm off road- forest service that i was really concerned. The additional lifting sleeves and base were worth the cash to me.

P250UA5Just saw that, and they have the 3-ton model for only $6 more. Wider jack stand base.
Good to have some options, and with Amazon, save some on shipping.

Tgrshrk99Jackpoint jackstands are similar in concept to the Rennstands.
JackpointI like the Rennstand execution better, but not the price.

It is, but his videos are still pretty good.
I'd think with the solid plate base that the bottle jack combo has, it would be pretty steady, unless you have a really uneven surface.

I had to get a long reach low profile jack to lift my cars from the front or rear jacking points so I could use my stands.
