It is my understanding that this sale is only at Texas based Dick's Sporting Goods locations. It appears to run through 12/23. The deal is 25% off everything in the store plus any other sales or promo pricing, including firearms. I have been shopping for a Beretta A400 Xplor Unico shotgun with an MSRP of $1,699.00. This a somewhat hard to find model, a wood furniture 12 gauge that will handle up to 3.5" shells. I noticed on a previous trip for some baseball gear that they happened to have one on their rack. I went in today after hearing about this sale and I walked out with the Beretta for $1049.00 plus tax. This is a smoking deal. Not sure if there are any limitations by manufacturer for other brands, etc.. but I had no issues getting all of the discounts applied to my purchase today, very pleased.

No fine print here apparently as I went after hearing of a few others who had the 25% off applied to their gun purchase at other Dicks locations in other cities in Texas.

I know Academy did, not sure about Dick's. Honestly though, I don't have the bandwidth to keep up with the list of who we are boycotting.

Same at their Webster, Tx store.

Good friend of mine called me yesterday, picked up one of their exclusive Remington rifles in 6.5 Creedmoor at 25% off plus a card holder discount. Walked out around $300, plans to use it as a base for a longer range rifle.

Yes. And they had oversold a higher-spec rifle at a big discount on a Black Friday special after Thanksgiving that year. Troy Ind. , I believe. Sandy Hook and suspending EBR sales was a convenient cover story for Dicks to cancel backorders on what was a loss-leader.

Fk 'em. Dicks Dicks before they dick you.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Yes they were one of them and proud of it enough that they went to the media.

Academy did not pull their ARs after Sandy Hook. The closest Academy to Sandy Hook, CT is maybe Raleigh, NC. Academy did pull ARs from display after the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting, b/c Academy has a eight stores in FL, including one in Orlando.

They removed rifles from display from some stores, but the continued to sell them. You just had to look at the tag and ask for it. It's an understandable PR move, especially when you have a store in Orlando.

Yes it is, which included a rather proud press release, smiling as they cowed under preasure. Among the many reasons I refuse to shop at Richard's.
