"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Back in the day, the IRA had no problem with sending agents overseas to "terminate" traitors etc. There are people in the world who simply do not like traitors-ANY traitors.

Yes to the first part, I have no problem seeing Lindh disappear.

As for 'not as bad as Bergdahl', I'd have to disagree, he's more dangerous. Bergdahl was the town idiot, living out his Don Quixote fantasy, he should never have been allowed in the Army after his Coast Guard dismissal; he had delusions of grandeur and the Army let him in. Lindh, actually converted to a separate society, went to a very radical place in the world (Yeman) pre-9/11 to join a stone age religious movement. The fact that he got caught in AFGH is happenstance as he just as easily could've been found fighting in Pakistan, Philippines, Georgia or, Chechnia during their conflicts. Lindh is fully immersed into that culture, a believer in its righteousness, Bergdahl is a bumbling fool lost in a fast spinning world.
