Thanks for the heads up. I tried to order one the last time someone posted a sale here, but I could not get the order to process and gave up.

Just tried now, and it worked fine. Its a gift for my parents.

I already have a spare mk4 in the box, but still may pickup another for future presents

They have been doing one day sales of different items each day so it may have ended.

ETA: I checked my trash folder and it was 48 hr. sale that started on Mon.
Today it's a 15% off sale for several items.

A solid cheaper alternate is the Thermapop. It's a few seconds slower, supposedly less accurate but mine hits the same temps. as my Mk4 Thermapen.
We also use them at work and the Thermopops hold up pretty well to drops and since they don't have moving parts, crap doesn't get into the internals.
