I read that topic and strayed off to this one.

Deaths from guns fired in the air.

Recently a local man fird his gun into the air to try to scare off a dog attacking his dog. Why didn't he either shoot the dog attacking or shoot into the ground?

At least the Egyptian groom cannot be charged with "assault with a friendly weapon."

"An Egyptian wedding turned into a Greek tragedy with the groom playing the part of Sans Testiclese. Story at 11."

The caption from a picture in the linked story.

“Weddings celebrations in Egypt can be lively”

An understatement for sure.

shot by a "guest" "accidentally."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I saw a video on Liveleak a few years ago of the same situation. Party guest is firing an AK with a folded underfolding stock in the air with one hand. He didn't have a good grip on it and the recoil walked the muzzle down into the groom's chest for the rest of the burst while he was dancing with his new bride. The party abruptly ended.

I remembered this thread today and figured I would see if I could track down that video I saw. No luck so far with that specific one, but man, no shortage of spine-tingling displays of wanton stupidity in handling firearms. "Wedding AK" as a search query on Liveleak actually produces relevant hits. None of these are going to be safe for work.

Not safe for work.

This is the exact situation I described in my post above, but filmed in the daytime, outdoors instead of indoors at night as in the example I'm searching for. So, same incident, same circumstances, same region, same same same. Celebrant domes dancing party guest in front of him with AK:
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=07c_1490809331

This guy nearly domes himself:
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f0f_1473614713

This guy domes at least three and wounds several others (there's a second graphic video angle of the same incident in the video description):
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a43_1385423900

This guy tries to deafen the bride's left ear on what looks like her first dance with her husband with an AKS74U:
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b10_1317031007

Bro, do you even live fire exercise?
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a06_1367196786

These Saudi guys knows how to party:
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=00e_1380809127

I gave up trying to reinforce the point after the first page of results. These people are nuts. I thought stepping on my best man's belt buckle and driving the prong of it about a quarter inch into my foot the morning I left for my honeymoon in Jamacia sucked. It was a good thing nobody was shot in the head, looking back on it. Apparently that's a thing in some cultures. I got off easy.
