“The former UK politician who pioneered Brexit and recently became embroiled in a 'debanking' row has warned the 'worrying' trend is on the rise in America.

Nigel Farage revealed he has spoken to the Trump family about the increase in 'debanking' in the US after it emerged a conservative Christian charity that supports impoverished Ugandans had its account closed by Bank of America (BofA).

Farage, who is often referred to as 'Mr Brexit' and is a close ally of the ex-President, was at the center of global headlines when he had his account with the bank Coutts closed. A memo from the firm flagged concerns he was 'xenophobic and racist' and held views which were deemed inconsistent with its 'position as an inclusive organization.'

He told DailyMail.com: 'The situation in America is absolutely as bad as it is in Britain.

'Banks have become political campaigning organizations. Unless you take a woke view of the world, you are in danger of it happening to you.'

He added: 'I have actually spoken to the Trump family about this.'

Historically the term 'debanking' referred to cases where banks limit financial services to businesses it assessed as having money laundering risks.

But firms are increasingly being accused of closing accounts over reputational fears.

Farage - who is now planning to build a UK lobby group to tackle the issue of debanking - said he had heard from prominent Republican figures whose accounts had been shut down in the US. …”

It's the golden rule, he who has the gold, makes the rules.... The digital age has just allowed them to spread this worldwide.

You mean like Firearms? absolutely, banks are fed by the government, and ruled by the same politicians and bureaucracy

When paper currency ends, and digital currency is the only method, your privacy will end, they will control what you buy, where, how much and determine if you are an acceptable purchaser. They can then take your funds anytime they like, for whatever reason, your politics, your being at a Jan 6 rally which your digital image will prove. Want a new gun?, no, you bought one last year, sorry, want more ammo, no sorry you bought 50 rounds last week.... wait for a month...

But hey, you don't have to store, carry and count that pesky dollar bill...

OK, which nationwide bank is going to step up and seek out conservative depositors? Unfortunately, at least one promising candidate, USAA - with their historical focus on veterans and their families, seems to have gone full-on woke, but there has to be some out there who might want to align themselves with sane, responsible flag-waving citizens. Perhaps the prevailing "wisdom" is that there is more money to be made from the crazies?

C'mon bankers, show us your biceps and not your ass!

Use cash when making "un-woke" purchases like paying range fees, buying ammo etc. Of course every purchase with credit cards is being scrutinized at more than one level. Cash will no doubt be outlawed so our ever financial transaction can be pulled up in the blink of an eye.

Of course ALL of your money could disappear in the blink of an eye (or a keystroke)...And that may be part of their plan!

This is why I have a year's expenses in cash close by.

I have "defunded" Chase in the last year. I do zero business with them or any large bank anymore.

I am am going to put a few dollars into Old Glory Bank to see how they perform. I also have a small Credit Union I use for real banking.

What they did to the Truckers in Canada during the Truck Protest would be a good example of what they're capable of arbitrarily doing.

I have been with a small local credit union for 6 years now. Dropped Chase forever and never looking back.

Just started using a Coign Card, it's not banking mind you, but it's a non-woke CC. I forget who started that company, we'll see how it goes with them.

How many people could survive if they were monetarily cancelled?

If cash is ever eliminated and the government, or government controlled corporations control digital currencies, we will see the largest tyranny that has ever existed in human history.

Americans will immediately devise a workaround. New Cash. Certainly a lot of people are stacking silver and gold for that purpose. Forcing a digital currency will have some nasty consequences in the short term. And I believe it would set off a new armed revolution.

The tyranny will not survive. What replaces it may be unpleasant, but the present day elite will not be the ones enjoying caviar on yachts.

We need to resist now so that things don't get to the point of only digital currency.

TMK, Axos and Old Glory banks are both conservative- though online only.

Frost should be safe, and I think Schwab would be - but they’d all have to go with whatever the Feds demand of them.

OneGold sent me something about they might begin offering a debit card.

Not sure how that would work, but it may be legally more challenging for the Feds to seize a metals based account.

“Silicon Valley darling Stripe is a goliath of online payments and used by businesses around the world to process credit and debit card transactions.

But today it has become embroiled in a 'debanking' dispute after a host of entrepreneurs complained they had their accounts suddenly terminated without proper explanation.
……

These owners told DailyMail.com they believe they were targeted because Stripe opposed the nature of their business dealings. It comes amid a growing debate around financial institutions withdrawing service to some customers.

'When they do that, they put my business and how I feed my family in tremendous jeopardy,' said Luke Schuetzle. The 36-year-old from Pierre, South Dakota, runs a film production company and online store selling military-themed items which are often featured in historical movies.

He suspects his account was terminated due to his sale of vintage ammo boxes and holsters.

'They don't ever give a reason,' said Schuetzle. 'They just have that power to say, "Sorry, you're done".' …”

They pull tricks like that down here and some of the victims might not react so passively.
