I have a touch. After the dreaded update over 100 podcasts that I have listened to before are now on my device filling up storage. I can't seem to be able to get rid of them. Any help would be great.

When you have the device plugged in to the computer, try using manual syncing and leave out the items you don't want stored on to your device.

I think I got it. This is the second time this has happened right after an update. A random it will reach out and grab shows some as old as three years. I deleted the podcast off the device, and the program on the host computer. Redownloaded the shows and it seems to be behaving now. The last time this happened I had to go in and mark all the episodes as played. That didn't work this time. My device is 3 years old and I think they want me to buy another.

It’s not your device. It’s iTunes.

iTunes sucks.
