I am pretty sure that 95% of the people on tv do not know what the word "ever" means

Yes. 95%. In an effort to not highjack the 'least' thread, I'll crank on another rant.

Now if you get on TV to say the word EVER as in "The new '86 Corollas are here and this is the best time to buy a Corolla ever!" Does that mean I'm screwed if I tried to buy an '87 or newer from that dealership? Lucky me, I didn't. I'm safe.

"The new Shelby Mustang is faster than the new Corvette and is the best Mustang ever!" Really? Does that mean next years Shelby is really going to suck? Did somebody fire the R&D staff at Ford and not say anything? Never mind that the Shelby is $70,000 more than the new Corvette. If I spent $70,000 of extra parts on a Corvette, would it be faster as well?

"This is the best meatloaf I'll ever make" Um... okay. Looks like I'll need more antacids if I stop by next week? I hope they stocked up on TP.

There are times when the word 'ever' seem more appropriate. There are first ever events: The first steam powered car ever made by General Motors was built in 1969.

I'll even go further and possibly contradict myself. There are perceivable absolutes: Jim the Wonder Dog was the smartest dog ever! Prove me wrong!!!

Hypotheticals on my part. There is a large Ford dealer nearby that has dealer mark-ups on their cars with a higher demand. Nothing against them marking it up if someone is willing to purcase it at that price.

The Kia Telluride has a dealer markup as well. Haven't seen a Telluride rolled through Barrett-Jackson, so there is that.

If this doesn't qualify as a rant, nothing does. Move it!

I don't want to EVER read a thread like this again. Actually, I tell my developers that ever and never are really long time. Really long.

Crap. I looked up at the sections and thought 'How did this get in the lounge".

At least this isn't the dumbest thing I ever did.

Don't mimic thread titles. It annoys the shit out of the admin. Be original.
