Nice. Glad you liked it. That stop light at FL Hwy 31 was just put in within the last year or so.

The biggest fail with respect to the Turnpike is that given the amount of the tolls and for how long they have been collecting them, they should have made it at least a three lane road in each direction long ago for that whole long northern stretch that is still only two lanes in each direction after all these decades.

I found it ironic and was a bit beside myself to read recently that in the area of Palm Beach, they are actually going to be adding two "Express Lanes" in each direction on the Turnpike and charge even more than they already do for the folks on the regular lanes. It will be the first road anywhere in the country to charge an additional toll on a road that is already a toll road.

IMHO "Express lanes" in general are a poor use of limited roadway expansion real estate, but that's for another discussion.

I agree I just drove to Tampa from Pompano Beach and was on the Turnpike from Jupiter to Yeehaw junction. There were still plenty of jerks that clogged the left lane and had everyone slowed to 65 MPH or so for 20 minutes, on several occasions before either the file of cars stuck behind them in the left lane were able to pass on the right lane in between slow right lane traffic. I saw Yeehaw junction and it truly was decimated by a tractor trailer, as mentioned in an earlier post in this thread.

I agree, how do you charge for express lanes on a road that already is a toll road.

I liked it so much that I did it again today. I took SR 31 north from the Ft
Myers gun show to Bermont rd.
