jimb888Anyone Here into Recreational Electronics
Just starting, finding it difficult. A lifetime of owning a wholesale business, being a climber, doing realestate projects and being a dad did not help me along that path.
In my mancave in our second home I've stocked a couple of power supplies, a HP (agilent) 34401A multimeter, a Rigol 1054 ossilliscope, a Pace A200 soldering iron, a nice microscope and etc etc all the rest of it.
What seems to occur with regular frequency is that "play time" in the mancave is reduced due to hikes, walks on the beach, dining out (there are no resturants near, so it's a "thing" to get to one), and all of the home maintenence that needs to occur. We're heading down tomorrow: the eaves need painting, the deck handrail needs staining, the lot next door (folks live in alabama whereas this is oregon) needs to be weedwacked and the F***ing salal will also be crazyily overgrown.
Furthermore, I expect the surfer dude next door to be back in town. He's a supergood fella and I'll need at least an hour to have a beer and check in with him. That's if he doesn't make me go steelhead fishing: if so, there goes that day.
So, not getting very far on my educational journey. Some sites I've enjoyed:

https://budgetlightforum.com/ https://www.worldradiohistory....lectronics-Guide.htmAnyway, the dog needs excercise and I've also started planting camas, and Arrowhead/Wapito and Wasabi plants in mountain streams along the coast which need monitoring, so my mancave time is limited. Furthermore, wife doesn't want "entertainment" and computers so that the place is peaceful to her: TV and internet are not available there.....
Can some of you share sites you've found helpful?

Yes, I was thinking of something that vibrated when energized, like mmm, a muscle relaxer...
