Saw this quote from a reader to a NY Post columnist the other day, made me chuckle.....

“When a Republican is President, the press wants to be Woodward and Bernstein. When a Democrat is President, the press wants to be Monica Lewinsky.”

Not that it is relevant to anything, but you are right.

I always felt bad for her. I know she was an adult and made her own choices, but Clinton should have never put her in that position. She was not prepared to withstand that pressure and then the fallout. Almost no one would be at her age. Another example of Clinton's failings.

And one of the most egregious in how it demonstrated the lack of the slightest good judgment and self-control.
As I remarked at the time to someone who was defending his actions, such behavior wouldn't have been tolerated in a military second lieutenant.

jhe888, she did a TED Talk that addresses that. She was pretty much cyber-bullying target #1 before the term was even coined.

Don't get caught doing dumb stuff...

But that depends on what the definition of "is" is.

She has definitely aged well. She refers to herself as patient zero for the cyber bullying. Pretty good description. She earned a masters degree from London school of economics. Not too shabby. Does she have a real job or just on the talk circuit and endorsement wagon ?

How was that whole thing not sexual harassment due to the disparity of power? When I worked in government, you couldn't mess with someone one pay grade lower than yourself.

I always ask people who defend Clinton in this matter, who always would say the "two consenting adults" thing, etc.... "That's not really the point. Would you let your daughter or wife be Bill Clinton's intern?" I've yet to receive a positive response. Usually there is no response and they sullenly walk away.

That is the whole point. Of course it was improper, or worse.

That empire wasn't as big as it is now. I'm sure that post-presidency, their wealth has grown exponentially.
