Anyone make a 30 caliber ammo can foam insert for pistol mags?
My Google foo is off. I can find and have the inserts for 50 caliber ammo cans but the smaller 30 caliber ammo can inserts, I'm striking out.

Suggestions?

Thank you!

Not really.

I mean, keeping your spare magazines sorted in ammo cans or other containers is certainly potentially useful.

But they're usually not going to be getting banged around so violently to the point where you'd need thick foam padding between each individual magazine.

So you can just stack the mags in the bottom of the bare ammo can, and save $20. (As well as fit more mags in each can.)

However, some folks might thing it's worth the $20 for the more professional-looking organization, to assuage their OCD by having all their mags stored in fancy little rows. Big Grin

Whenever I see things like that my first thought is, “Not enough magazines, or way too many ammo cans.” Wink

I agree that there are better ways of storing extra magazines that take up far less room and provide more than adequate protection for them.

I think that would be very handy for taking a bunch of mags to the range. I generally put my pistols in a pistol rug and have to figure out where to carry extra magazines.

Plano 3750... five bucks at Wally World, and holds about 20 magazines. Cool

(Apologies for the thread drift.)

Case Club's most functional and practical is their 50 cal insert that holds 11 mags and a pistol. I have label on the latch (e.g. P229 40), and on my way out the door to the range I can quickly grab it and the corresponding gun (it's stored in the safe not the ammo can). When I get to the range, I have 11 loaded mags (i.e. 132 rounds for P229 40) and a gun. In retrospect, I wish I had 4 of those instead of 3 of them and the one 30 cal.

MTM Case Guard makes a plastic ammo box set up for magazines about the size that you are interested in. I have two. One for double stack and one for single stack.
