Panzer AR12 Pro safety issue. Login/Join

I bought a new Panzer AR12 Pro from Palmetto State Armory. I have not fired it. When I unboxed it I noticed that the gun will fire when the safety is on. I emailed Panzer, and received no response. I contacted Palmetto State Armory who told me to contact Panzer Arms. I sent another message to Panzer Arms and have heard nothing. I haven't tore the gun down yet to see if I can find the issue. Thoughts on how to handle this?

When unloaded, does the hammer fall on the firing pin with sufficient force to set off a shotshell?

If you don’t know, put tape across the base of an already-fired hull, point the gun in a safe direction when outdoors, load the taped hull, and pull the trigger with the “safety” engaged. If the tape is pierced, the gun must go back to Panzer. It might be Panzer has a really big problem.

Does it have a selector switch much like any other AR? If so, that is probably where the problem is, although it could be any other part of the trigger group.

But since it is a safety issue, they ought to be quick to respond. Be a squeaky wheel.

If you get no resolution I would dispute the charge with my credit card company,if you charged it.

Yes it is a AR type selector switch. I should have time this weekend to take a look. I will do a charge back if I have to, but I'm hoping to find a reasonable resolution first.

I have sent Panzer 3 messages now and still no response. I also sent Palmetto another message asking for further assistance.

This message has been edited. Last edited by: xantom,

Ok so I was able to pull this apart and just like this guys video my gun will release the hammer when on safe. The trigger does not move when on safe but it does release the hammer with the slightest of pressure on the trigger.

I have gotten no response from the 3 messages I sent to Panzer Arms. The only response I received from Palmetto State is contact info for Panzer Arms warranty repair. Is my best course of action at this point to dispute the charge with my credit card company?

I would think so. Einstein didn’t say it, and it’s not insanity, but sooner or later we need to stop doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Three emails with no response is more than enough.

HRK, thank you for posting. I am not sure how I didn't come across that. I will email them and see where that takes me.

They got back to me.

Unfortunately we do not have a way to cover shipping costs to our facility.

They agreed to send me a new trigger group. That seems better than having to ship them the whole gun.
