I have one in a shockwave and it feeds everything. I reload my buckshot shells, just trim off the roll crimp and load to the proper height. So I can run 2 3/4”, 2 1/2”, 2” & 1 3/4” shells thru it in any mix of lengths.
Doesn’t fall out like the Opsol adapter.
5 stars- I was so impressed with it on the shockwave I put one in my maverick.

Get it. It works way better than the Opsol. They have some other cool accessories for Mossberg shotguns too.

Correct, you can even mix rounds in the 590S. If you're buying one now, get the S.

A Shockwave w/ Defender Tactical minishell adapter costs significantly less than a 590S. I have both, and they work the same. Both allow you to mix shell sizes.
The Opsol only works w/ minishells.

Just installed mine. Feeds everything mixed in the mag tube. The replacement Wolff mag spring is strong! Time to head out and test drive it.
**Did notice that the minis can flip if the gun is oriented in odd positions.**
ETA: The gun functions well. Mixed loads in the mag fed well. I did have one round do the flip thing during pumping while in recoil, so more testing to be done. Overall, this needs some confidence use to insure it can be trusted. The #4 buck and the 00 buck (scored 00 that is supposed to split into 12 wound tracks) from Federal were creampuff loads. Surprisingly the Aguila 7.5 shot loads had more recoil. This message has been edited. Last edited by: KMitch200,
