bendableas long as there are two valves , I don't care weather they are knobs, dials or levers.
but! there is an exception
this one actually moves up and down to control the amount of water coming out.
as well as rotating
left and right to control the temp.
its fine as well

0-0Back in the late 70s my family moved to Europe and my bathroom had one of those faucets. Never seen or heard of one before.
Nobody bothered to explain how it worked. I moved it right and left a thousand times and cursed the damned thing until my throat went dry.
Took me at least 6 months until i figured it by accident.

thats the way God planned it and thats the way it should be.
You must have been that guy waving frantically and cursing up a storm in front of the touchless faucet in the men's restroom at O'Hare.

stiction
I will find a way to use this word. As God is my witness, I am going to find a way...

Stiction: The term is a portmanteau of the words stick and friction:
You try to move a faucet handle. It doesn’t move. You apply more force. It still doesn’t move. You apply even more force. It still doesn’t effing move. You apply even more force. Then it finally moves – more than intended. That’s “stiction”. I hate it, and I’m thankful that my Grohe Atrio doesn’t have it.
Stiction is also a pain in the neck when dealing with air cylinders, in the same manner.
Gettin' geeky with it!

Yep. The ones in my church bathrooms are terrible!

As previously mentioned, they are easier to turn on/off with the back of the hand, or an elbow. Also, most are easier to clean than 2-handle faucets.
Life is too short to get worked up of these kinds of things, IMO.

IntrepidTravelerWent to Ireland a few years ago, stayed in B&Bs. All the bathrooms - every B&B - had not only two valve, but two spigot faucets. One valve/ spigot for cold, a separate valve/ spigot for hot. I found that very annoying.
Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.
