Rule #1: Use enough gun |
http://www.al.com/news/birming...ncart_river_home_pop A Shelby County man was arrested over the weekend - when he was spotted driving a stolen bulldozer through the Walmart parking lot. Pelham police said they received a call just before 7 a.m. Saturday from the manager of Warrior Tractor and Equipment reporting the business had been burglarized. Once on the scene, the officers determined the suspect used Hitachi ZX60 excavator to gain entry to the business. They also noticed several excavators and bulldozers had been moved, and that a 650K John Deere bulldozer was missing. While officers were investigating, a caller notified police dispatchers that someone was driving a bulldozer through the Walmart parking lot, just off Highway 31. It eventually rammed into the Murphy gas station, police said. The suspect ran but was caught a short time later. Pelham police identified the suspect as Brandon Keith Smith. Several items missing from the business were recovered when Smith was arrested. Smith is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, first-degree theft of property, first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree burglary. He is being held in the Shelby County Jail with bonds totaling $75,000. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed. Nothing runs like a Deere! Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown | |||
