Or were they just stupid to begin with?

Those morons seem to believe that just because they make a shit ton of money by dressing up and playing pretend, their comments, beliefs, etc are of world changing importance.

The whole thing with Hollyweird folks is that they want to be remembered for something other than pretending to be someone that they aren’t.

In general, entertainers, actors in particular, have colossal egos, seems to be a job prerequisite. Their success in today's world feeds off of publicity, being larger than life, etc., and not necessarily talent. Very few entertainers become recluses, shying away from the above, and still have successful careers (Bob Dylan is one). And part of that massive ego is the tendency to open one's mouth and spew out bullshit, while the surrounding sychophants congratulates these morons, making their little gods feel important. It is sickening.

We in our household have not been in a movie theater since about 1972-3. Dr. Zhivago was that movie.

I watch some OLD movies on youtube or other online sources. Generally John Wayne or a few others of that style and REAL TALENT!

Not to mention a decent plot with real acting and none of all this spectacular special effects bullshit!

Back then they had real actors/actresses, stunt men/women in some cases, etc.

The field generally does not attract the best and brightest, just the best looking. Historically, thespians have been looked down on as a lower class. Until recently, of course.
