August of this year will be five years that we’ve been in our house. Had it built so needless to say all appliances were new. Decided on Jenn Air for everything except refrigerator. Two years ago we get an F2E1: Stuck/Shorted Key for the wall oven. Out of factory warranty so call appliance repair. Comes out and turns power off and back on and oven functions as normal. I had already researched this so knew of this trick. Month or so goes by and it does it again. They come back out and do the same thing again. Lo and behold it starts working again. Another month or so goes by and get the same error again. I reset it and the screen goes blank. Call a different appliance repair guy and text him the code and model number. He orders a replacement board and comes out and installs it along with a new thermo fuse? Oven works for another month or so and then does the same thing, I reset it again it goes blank again. Call this guy back and he orders another board. Takes months for this one to come in and when he brings it out it’s the wrong one in the right box. He apologizes and orders it again. Still waiting for the new one. In the mean time today, the microwave throws the same code when it’s not even being used. Go back to the internet for more research and it’s a common problem. From what others and myself have observed steam escapes the front of the oven and rises across the front of the keyboard. Our microwave is over the wall oven so the same steam went across the keyboard of the microwave. This causes an issue with the keypad. Have spent way too much time researching an oven already and now it looks like we need both an oven and a microwave. Trying to find a non Whirlpool brand to fit built in appliances in this climate is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Found an oven that ships in 7-10 days but microwaves are showing 10-15 weeks. We’ve got company coming in August for a week and it looks like we are going to be an appliance short.

Sorry you're having problems with your Jenn Air, but what do you have against Whirlpool? They make some of the most reliable, long lasting appliances available. ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! Did they always? Have a Jenn-air cooktop that’s 26 years old still working fine. Looks a little worse for wear after a quarter century, but haven’t replaced it yet cause can’t find a substitute that’s as versatile. Just pop out one of the radiant pots & pans heating elements, plug in the bare element and cover that with a grate for grilling or a flat griddle plate for pancakes. Very handy. Haven’t found anything comparable these days. Maybe the fact it doesn’t have any computers or keypad, just burner knobs, is why it’s still running!

Don't Panic |
No, Maytag bought the brand in 1982 , and then itself was bought by Whirlpool in 2006. We've had Jenn-Aire stuff over the years and they've worked well for us. Though, any factory/brand can have a bad day. Hope the OP gets theirs fixed right, soon!
