Thief at work
Just my opinion, but it seems the thief is making the job unbearable, so something must be done.

You could approach HR and tell them you've had expensive personal property stolen and damaged. The knife was valuable, as are glasses which were disassembled and damaged. Tell them you strongly suspect who it is, and are requesting the company do something such as put up video cameras to catch the thief.

The other option is to secretly record your workspace to verify who it is. Then go to your manager or HR and tell them you know for a fact. You don't have to say you video recorded if it is against the rules.

I think you need to get this person out of your work area one way or another.

Management is aware of the incident. The glasses were not damaged as far as I can tell. Still, nobody should have to deal with this shit.

Don't worry about it, common mistake. My tuna sandwiches are named Hilary and Charles K. I'd be confused by Kevin too.

Isn't the tax stamp standard across the board? Big Grin

600m is danger close for 105 or 155. Personally, I don't think that's enough for 155. Razz

I'm an asshole, so I'd be bringing all of these issues to HR and making their life miserable.

I don’t have an issue with backing up to 800m. Smile

Have a friend write a hand written note that says so-and-so is the douch that messed with your glasses.
Walk it over to the douch, hand it to him and explain it was on your desk this morning.
Should add a little intrigue.

That is brilliant. However, two guys that I trust have said they don’t believe that my suspected coworker would do it. I’m not simmering anymore. I think I’ve finally come to the conclusion that a handshake and a ball peen hammer might be a bit overkill without any proof.

I worked at a place where a coworker would steal people's lunch, really pissed me off to the point the thought crossed my mind to lace the lunch with rat poison. Of course it was just a thought but bring your own food to work and don't steal someone else's food.

My solution for the food thief was to get a legit bottle of "HOT" ketchup.. removed all factory markings except a small wrapper at the top of bottle.. Found the thief when he went running to the bosses and crying that someone was trying to poision him. The food missing came to a quick halt. ....................... drill sgt.

I like the idea of the note but don't involve anyone at work . Get your wife or someone else to write it .
