Was looking for a few of these things, and saw that they have it for a low low price of $7.99. For one! Wow! I thought inflation has hit that hard. These things used to go for $1.99 a pop. So, checking elsewhere shows $15.99 for a pack of 10. So, what the hell is wrong with Brownell's? Q

I’ve never noticed Brownells being the cheapest source of merchandise. Many times I’ve found items there that seem very difficult to find anywhere else, though. Do they still offer a discount to business accounts?

And then there's the shipping cost... Like 'arfmel' posted though, sometimes you'll find stuff at Brownells that you have trouble finding elsewhere, and sometimes their pricing will surprise you...I purchased a small pile of NOS M1 Carbine Mags (WWII US Military surplus) a couple of years ago. They were Union Hardware manufactured and period correct for my Inland M1 Carbine at a smokin' hot deal IMO! ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! Brownells has really disappointed over the last few years. A lot of “out of stock” that was readily available elsewhere. Since I no longer need small gun parts or specialty tools, I shop elsewhere. Midway mostly. __________________ "Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician." -Jeff Cooper

I don't think Brownell's is actively trying to gouge anyone? Sometimes small individually packaged small items are just not economical to process and sell. Most likely just pricing that rolls downhill from the company itself. I do get the inflation gripe though, seems everything is being hit hard and out of control. I saw a 5-pack on Amazon for $12.99 (generic brand). https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Ru...id=1696606719&sr=8-4 Midway knock off ~ $2.49 ea https://www.midwayusa.com/prod...00340833/?pid=518277 Sometimes it just makes you shop around.

I have to agree with this. I have 4 Beretta O/U shotguns and occasionally there is a need for parts such as firing pins and the like. Brownells is a "Primary" parts supplier per Beretta who closed down their parts warehouse and sold them to Brownells. Who apparently don't feel it's necessary to replace with parts ordered from Beretta when they run out. At present I order my Beretta parts from Cole's Gun Shop because Brownells has no problem making sure that items like firing pins for forearm retaining screws are always "out of stock" and unavailable for back order. I've stopped counting.

Brownells has always been expensive. But Accu-Wedge is trying to get $5-6 a pop ($8 by the time it get to you) because you can by 10 knock offs for the same money. Trying to make up the loss. If it makes you feel better, you can pay more for worse. lol https://www.etsy.com/listing/7...ethane?gpla=1&gao=1&
