It could be worse! My house hasn't had electric since last Friday night at 10pm! Went to the grocery store yesterday (publix), no meat, no seafood, no deli or deli products, no yogurt and no frozen food......I'd much rather have rain!11

That sucks.

I hope things come around for you.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

At least you get to schedule your vacation. I get 1 week and the company schedules it for me.

Congrats for the 25 years. I doubt she'll be upset you had to postpone if you've been together that long.

At least you had all that fun planned and didn't have to leave work to take care of it!

I just found out that I partially detached my mitral valve. My first week of vacation will be spent in the hospital after open heart surgery. My second week will be used during my stay for cardiac rehab.
