Done for the day at 0730.
Mid-to-high 90's and same numbers for humidity is the forecast for the day.

Changed implements on the Cabota for tomorrow's job and pumped a couple of barrels of water from the stream to water the garden.

Rest of the day will be spent in the house/basement.

This is NOT why I live in Maine!

Yeah, I've been in Maine for a couple of extraordinary heat waves, including as recently as late June of last year.

That's not why I go to Maine. Big Grin

And Mainers aren't built for ~100 degree heat, nor are their buildings, many of which lack A/C...

Izzackly.

I have a window unit in the bedroom, and electric bill be damned.

Fortunately, all my hobby stuff is in the basement which hovers between 50° and 65° year around.

Funny, isn't it, how 60° indoors feels chilly in the Winter and just right in the Summer...

Been like that in Middle Tennessee for the better part of two months.

As someone who fled San Diego in April, my wife and I have been enjoying the cheap electricity and HVAC [which keeps the house at 75 during the day and 73 at night].

I am REALLY looking forward to September and the cooler weather people here promise is coming.

I remember having heat waves when I lived in Alaska and Canada. Fortunately, in Canada I had a basement and I could move into the guest bedroom down there for a few days. Unfortunately, Alaska had a high water table so no basement.

I don't sleep if I'm hot and sweaty (i.e. the reason I don't camp in Texas).

Same problem here. I got out and mowed the lawn before it got too hot. It was 89 when I started. It will be hot and humid until Wednesday so I got the mowing over with.

Mowed/edged the lawn this afternoon, at 2pm, it was 102 degrees.

It reached 80 here today, a little hot to mow, so I took the CB500X out for a nice ride instead.

I'm done outside at 70-75 nowadays. Just can't tolerate the heat. Usually it doesn't hit that until eleven or so here though. 0730 and that hot? Dang. Give me 30 below any day of the week.

It hit 100 today, but thankfully only 1% humidity. "It's a dry heat". Big Grin

Glad I replaced my little portable AC machine a few weeks ago...

Fortunately, it cooled off enough after sunset to make sleeping possible.

Today looks like more humidity, but with T-storms, so it shouldn't be quite so miserable.
