| Too old to run, too mean to quit! |
A while ago I started getting "pop up" on Breitbaart. Called POWr.com. Cannot find any way to get rid of it,and it makes breitbart virtually unreadable. Any hints on how to get rid of it? I tried locating it on my computer, can find no trace of it. So, I guess, it must be somehow attached to Breitbart. Appears it it some sort of browser extension plugin. Went thru the routine. Only have 2 extensions, and neither one of them allude to this problem. One is adblock plus, the other is "safe browsing". I will try again to screen my system for the software that seems to be causing the problem. Maybe. . . . . Powr.com is an eCommerce pop up that Breitbart is using. It isn't something on your computer. https://www.bigcommerce.com/apps/popup-by-powr/ I employ AdBlocker Ultimate 2.36 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblocker-ultimate/) which effectively shields me from this kind of crap when using Firefox / Waterfox. I also set the browser option to "do not track," etc. Bottom line is that as a result I don't see what you see when visiting Breitbart. Are your pop ups set on Firefox and soundsl like you have AdBlockPlus - did you somehow tell ABP it was ok to let through. I installed the adblock ultimate, it is running. Does not block that POWr.com shit either. Been a very long day, my head is killing me. Had surgery a couple days ago to remove a small skin cancer, which is not helping either. Will try again tomorrow and see if I can find what I am missing. Or maybe I just need to quit using Breitbart. Or maybe uninstall it, then reinstall? Right now I am punchy, so logging off and hitting the bed! Thanks to all who have tried to help!!!!!!!!!
