Great rant. It also spared me from experiencing similar aggravation. I'm in need of a new jacket and figured I'd go out tomorrow shopping for one. After reading your post, I slapped myself on the forehead and said 'WTF was I thinking!?' I went to the websites of the two stores I'd planned on visiting tomorrow. Both have good return policies. So, I ordered a jacket from both stores. Now, I don't have to leave home tomorrow. Even better, I can try on the jackets at my leisure, then keep one and return the other. Thank you! _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell | |||

Yup…good rant. In short, I hate the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. I would bid to work them so I’d be on the road and not have to deal with the family bullshit. Travelled to my mother’s this week, purely out of “obligation”, but will be staying home for Christmas alone. Which is fine, because the “holidays” are nothing but another day of the week for me.
