Very pretty and age appropriate. Miss slabsides45 went to senior prom in a dress that I personally sewed on for an hour or so, removing racy leg slits and deep cleavage and sewing in a modesty panel. By the time it was done her stick figured size 0 self looked wholly respectable, but it hurt the wallet about as badly as the OP's.

Sometimes I'm grateful that my dear Uncle Sam taught me to sew in a pinch....

Nice dress. Did she twirl to make that skirt go out for the picture?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

She was twirling so it looked fuller than it was.

Thanks for all the kind comments.
This is her in the state Boys championship game. They think she was the first girl to ever start in a championship game. She stole two bases and scored in the final game as well. She was also academic All-State for the year.
