I deal with this bullshit all the time. And the same POS do it while driving their cars and that makes them inattentive. It’s like vocal fry with women. They just love holding the phone in front of their mouths with speaker mode on. It’s really strange, they hold it like a piece of toast they are about to eat, where it’s flat, and horizontal to their mouth.

These both happened while dining out on Friday night last weekend:

the female at the next table was using speakerphone at full volume. Conversation was for only her not her husband, but apparently she couldn't shovel 3000 calories in her pie hole while courteously using the phone. About 15 minutes later, the husband headed to the restroom which meant the wife was alone at the table. While he was in the restroom, she answered another phone call on speaker phone so I guess was her SOP to only talk on speakerphone. Totally mindless, unimportant conversations both times.

Another patron's kid sat at my table 3x, and all his parents did was essentially say stop or I'll say stop again.

I left during the 2nd phone call. WTF is wrong with people.

But at least you get to hear both sides of the conversation as compared to all the people that talk on their phone in public and you only get to listen to their side.

You won't have to be bothered by these people after they reach their 60's. The radio waves are slowly fring their brain as they go into a state of dementia.

Using air tube ear buds is the only way to go when using a cellphone.

I hate it when people have the keypad " clicker " enabled . What is the point in this annoying feature ?

I was at an airport recently when a guy comes and stands right next to where I was sitting and he was doing this shit. I told him to get away from me and go do that where he was't bothering people. He gave me this indignant 'how dare you' look but moved his ass along.

Next time lean over to the phone and say " Hi , this is Dan . How are YOU doing ? " Guaranteed to disrupt his conversation ..

Around here 1/2 of 'em do it in Tex-Mex or Spanish...
