MRBTXThe Bean Counters need to leave NCAAF & MLB alone
The pitch clock in mlb and no clock stop in NCAA D1 & D2 football on first downs (except last 2 mins of a half) are stupid. All efforts to shorten the games. Game time only down 2 mins. Leave ‘em both alone!

357fuzzI think the coach from UCLA was right when he said that he hoped the NCAA liked their $ from the commercials that seem to come up every 2 minutes during a college football game now…

SchmelbyI thought game times in MLB were down way more than two minutes.
I like the clock in baseball, Don't watch much college football,
Waiting for NFL to start, Bengals to win the Super Bowl.

I had read they already shaved off 30 minutes a game on average with the pitch clock. Seems to me that both batters and pitchers are getting used to it and it is nice that it moves things along and you aren't stopping every minute for the batter to scratch his balls or the pitcher to lollygag.

tatortoddMLB is keeping the pitch clock for the playoffs. Here is an excerpt from an
ESPN article last week:

The clock has been a rousing success, trimming the average game time by nearly 25 minutes -- to 2 hours, 39 minutes.

YellowJacketI am a huge baseball fan and I consider myself a traditionalist. I was not in favor of the pitch clock but I must admit it has absolutely done wonders for the time of the games. It is especially noticeable because my kids can now sit through an entire game at the stadium. The only problem is you might miss an entire inning or more at the concession stand.
