So, I know it’s not limited to lights, but the recent post from 92fstech about loosing a stream light and needing to look for a replacement cursed me, yesterday I noticed my everyday “non-work” light, a Streamlight Pro Tac HLX was MIA. Knew it had to be here somewhere, I haven’t been out of the house other than to walk the pup. Tore the place apart, and no luck.

So I took the advice in that thread, and found a Cloud Defensive Chicro, better yet, delivery before 08:00 next day from Amazon! Problem solved.

Now, I admit, I fully expected that once I got it, the Streamlight would show up somewhere in due course. That is, after all, how things work. I think it’s probably quantum or something.

But this is ridiculous. Got up to walk the pup, and grabbed the box off the porch. Get back inside, and notice I still needed to put away the Bushmills I got the other day. Opened the liquor cabinet….

Forgot I used when I was reconnecting the power cord for the lights.

Total elapsed time between getting the new light and finding the old one approximately 1 minute 37 seconds.

I have to say though, this little cloud is pretty nice, and I don’t think it’s going anywhere!

Lots thinner, lots lighter, fits in a pocket way better, and puts out just the right amount of light on either of the two settings for all kinds of potential uses. And the USB charging is very convenient!

Well ain't that the way it always works, lol. Mine still hasn't turned up yet but I also haven't gotten around to ordering the replacement. I'm kinda torn between Streamlight loyalty and trying out that new Chicro...I guess it's cheap enough that I could just get both...or order the Chicro in hopes that my Macrostream reappears, lol. Glad you found yours!

Hell I'm just in awe of your liquor cabinet!

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

I've got one that's been missing 6 years and I'm still thinking it will show up. Checked coat pockets etc.

I admit, the cabinet is pretty cool… Saw it in the Restoration Hardware catalog my wife gets and thought it was “neat”, but not $1600 (or whatever crazy high price they wanted was).

A year or so later and she calls me from out shopping and says she found one as a display sample close out at the outlet for a few hundred. Talked mt Sergeant into helping me out (delivery not available) and we managed to get it picked up and then up into the house. Weird, but a giant metal ball is not the easiest thing to move around!

Set it up with LED tape lights around the inside, and best part is it actually fits nicely between the dining room area and the front room. Nice and convenient.

I think mine is in the couch somewhere. I've got plenty so not in much of a hurry to dig deeper than the cushions.

I'll raise you a truck bumper liquor cabinet.

You didn't happen to see any Maui Jim shades, two of the three keys that came with my car, one of my handgun holsters (it was two, but I found one of them today), or a number of 10mm sockets, did you?

The pic in the OP reminds me of the Tiki lounge place in Goodfellas where they all hung out, and ultimately burned to the ground to get the insurance money. They did it “outta respect”. Big Grin
